I haven't seen you in quite awhile girl.
Looking at your pics it looks like you been diligent on your workouts.

Anyone ever tell you that you resemble Christins Ricci?

About Me

Location
about me
I'm an unabashedly geeky girl who happens to be very, very slowly working my way through college while working fulltime in the video game industry. I grew up in Wisconsin, spent most of my adult life in Washington, worked in the San Francisco bay area for a while, and am currently back in Seattle. I do level design, scripting, and minor programming tasks for Snowblind Studios. In my free time, I take classes, spend time with my totally awesome video game developer boyfriend, travel, and occasionally model for talented photographers and/or clothing designers (fashion shows).

I'm not on this site to "make friends" or troll for men, so if you're just bored and want to chat, I'm really not the most appropriate person to contact. People who know me IRL should have my current email address (preferred) or at least some other way to get in touch with me.

MODELLING INFORMATION

I'm a very experienced, less-than-part-time hobbyist/amateur. I used to model more frequently, but work and school have started demanding much more of my time. (My software development job is far more lucrative than any non-nude modelling "career" at 5'2" will ever be.) For the forseeable future, I am only taking on roughly one shoot per month and prefer to approach photographers myself. As a result, I usually book very far in advance.

I don't believe in paying to pose OR posing for pay-- I just want to collaborate with creative, talented people!

Things I am not interested in:

- nudes
- body/figure work (implied nudity)
- swimwear
- lingerie (unless it's latex!)
- "wronkled" bedsheet backdrops :p
- outdoor locations (unless they are *wildly* unusual)

I'm primarily interested in:

- creative studio portraiture
- alternative fashion with a mainstream high fashion flair
- local alternative fashion runway

As far as posing for static photography goes, to get an idea of the types of images I am striving to create, please view the portfolios of these talented people (MM stands for Model Mayhem):

Eyecandy For the Broken Hearted (Australia) MM 35245
Eye Works (Joplin, MO) MM 14145
Genesha (Atlanta) MM 32321
Glitter Guru (Los Angeles) MM 49848
Joe Traina (Tampa) MM 6382
John F. Cooper (New York City) MM 19505
Lithium Picnic (Houston) MM 581
Nadya Lev (Philadelphia) MM 1349
Time of the Faeries (Los Angeles) MM 17037
Visual Clash (Amsterdam) MM 1544

I am capable of doing my own hair and makeup, but prefer to work with at least a makeup artist for multi-way trade/portfolio building.

Credits

I have worked with several photographers throughout the US and Canada and am always adding more to my resume.

My photos can be found in Gothic Beauty, Minty, FLICK, Varla, Autopilot (Russian) and various other magazines; and have been used for various club events throughout Northern America. I've also done runway, film/TV and stage acting. I am non-exclusively represented by Wicked Talent in Los Angeles, CA. I have performed (dancing+singing) with the Gun Street Girls (Seattle), Glitzkrieg Burlesque (Seattle), and Spectacular Spectacular (San Francisco). I occasionally perform solo for bands and vaudeville style variety shows.

It is so nice to not have to worry about school anymore.

I got 100% on the first half of the Calculus final, and think I got everything except maybe half of the last question right on the second half, so I'm pretty sure I'm getting an A in that class.  I'll find out for sure on Monday.  As far as my English class goes, well... I'll take a look at my online transcript in a few weeks.  Wish me luck. :p

I went to the dentist today for what would have been my final Invisalign checkup, expecting to have to endure more alginate for new molds.  Strangely though, my teeth seem to have come along an unexpected bit since my last visit.  He made some adjustments to the bottom tray to make it fit tighter, then sent me away.  I still technically have a week left on set 10, so he's hoping that the last of the stuff will work itself out.  I'm going to bet that I'm in his chair making molds for new trays on the 2nd though.

I got all my FSA paperwork squared away so I can do this sort of thing again next year.  I'll be getting a ton of new fillings in Q1 of 2008.  Those of you on my friendslist currently experiencing dental problems definitely have my sympathies.  I'll be there with ya soon enough.  Damn teeth.

I'm feeling antsy.  Restless.

I turned in my research paper yesterday, have the second half of my Calculus final today, do limit testing at the gym next week, and end my PSMF on the 21st.  Then what am I going to do with myself?!

Heh.

Over this weekend and next, I want to do 3 4 things:

1) finally finish prepping stuff for ebay

2) play Mass Effect (and maybe some more Rock Band :p)

3) get the rest of my Europe photos on flickr

Oh, yeah, and--

4) BEER + FRIED CHEESE

Hot damn.

I am very much looking forward to cooking random shit again.  I'm set to start carb cycling on the 4th, but that won't be nearly as strict as what I had been doing.  The hard part is almost over... 10 more days!  (Excuse me while I go eat a can of tuna with a fork.)

When I got home from work last night, I beat the Rock Band vocal solo tour on medium.  Now that I have at least heard every song at least once, I think I can take on hard mode.  Disclaimer though: I know what to do to get decent scores, but it doesn't sound very nice in person.  I think there are maybe 7 songs in the whole fucking game that I don't have to do a bunch of octave flipping on.  (Maps, Dani California, The Hand That Feeds, I Think I'm Paranoid, and some random 60s/70s stuff that I don't remember the names of.)  It pisses me off, because I know how to sing a bunch of the other songs, but not in whatever specific pitch, and harmonizing is not allowed.  So yeah.  I'm just doing this to get the XBLA achievements and then I'm out.  I'll only do vocals at parties if a) I'm drunk, and b) guitar and bass are already taken.  Drunken caterwauling, my favorite.  Hey, reminds me of last weekend.

The holiday party was fun and full of all the expected retardedness.  Tasty Oregon Blue stuffed steak, booze, Rock Band, karaoke, and giant glass doorway rings full of scary-looking jellyfish.  (It was at the aquarium.)  I'll post some photos eventually.

I spent some quality time on my research paper today, and made a good deal of progress.  Unfortunately, I had to scrap a lot of my initial support section, but I did manage to find a few ways to re-incorporate at least some things.  I have a short list of things to finish up tomorrow.  Once I'm done with everything, I should be well within my 12-15 page target range.  (I'm at 11 right now.)  It's due on Monday.  I have the second half of my Calculus final on Tuesday.  We'll get our first half back that day, too.  I have a feeling that that isn't going to be very, ah, inspirational for some of my classmates.  The resident ADHD boy sat in my seat last week, so I ended up in his spot at a table full of young girls who rolled their eyes sympathetically at each other and sighed heavily any time the instructor said anything that required the tiniest bit of thought to fully understand.

Damn.

But anyway, I am very much looking forward to Wednesday.  Scott gave me Mass Effect for my birthday, and I intend to spend much of next weekend playing in my PJs.

2 weeks (4 sessions) left in my personal training package, I think.  After my post-PSMF break is over after the holidays, I think I'm going to try some carb cycling.  It seems to be a much 'easier' approach to bodyfat cutting.

2 more days of school.  Ugh.  This weekend will be completely devoted to my research paper.  I'll be able to properly celebrate the end of the quarter next weekend.  Maybe.

I tried to get signed up for my Physics class today, and the registration bastiches stuck me on a waiting list.  I'll try to have an open humanities class picked out as a backup just in case, but I'm fairly confident I'll be able to get in if I show up every day for the first week.

Yesterday was a carb refeed, and my size 4 pants, so recently reclaimed, were made unpleasantly tight by carb-induced water retention later in the evening.  I'm back in my size 6s today, and they feel baggy all over.  Wtf.  Jeans are annoying.

Scott and I have the PopCap holiday party to hit up tonight.  I need to go find a suitable dress at lunchtime.  My last lowkey nice one ripped, and everything else I have is more appropo for photoshoots/stage.  (Um, no.)  One of these days, I still want to get a fitted women's tux made... thinking pencil skirt instead of trousers... nipped waist... tails... bowtie...

My Bodybugg got delayed in Portland.  I didn't realize what was going on down there, yikes!  Hope all my Portland peeps dry with homeplaces intact.

I am surprisingly sore today.  Not a ton, but the fact that I am at all is surprising.  My right lateral deltoid and both my hamstrings and quads are being whiny little bastards.  Like I said, cleans and one-legged squats need to get added to my off-training sets... good stuff.

My birthday present to myself, I guess, was being able to fit into those size 4 pants I've been hanging onto forever.  They're the only straight leg jeans I own.  I tried to put them on a month or two ago, and couldn't even get close to buttoning 'em.  The last time they fit like they do now, I think I had just moved here from San Francisco.  My weight is getting pretty close to that old weight, but I think I have more muscle mass these days.

If I can get to the point where these fit a little looser (freshly dried), I think I'll finally have the right proportions to buy unhemmed jeans in physical stores again (probably in the Juniors department).  That would be nice.

My Bodybug should get here tomorrow.  Here are some tests I want to run over the next week+ to gauge 24-hour output:

Saturday: no lifting, 2 half hour walks.

Sunday: lifting, 2 half hour walks.

Monday: no lifting, 1 half hour walk.

Tuesday: lifting w/ trainer, no walking.

Wednesday: no lifting, 2 half hour walks.

Thursday: lifting w/ trainer, 1 half hour walk.

Friday: no lifting, 2 half hour walks, stairs instead of elevator at work.

Saturday: Rock Band all damn day.

Sunday: absolutely NOTHING-- couch plus PJs plus shitty TV all day long.  (Minimum baseline.)

I'll rerun these once I stop the PMSF to see how much it's dampened my expenditure, if any.
