JT is one of the most reasonable and openminded people i know. and i don't mean like set your dial to a different station and close the lid kind of an open mind, i mean a real open mind where being the same and being cliche is accepted too. and when you talk to JT you might think that he's in a constant state of euphoria, high on life they call it :) heh, but he's smart and responsible and always prepared (but only because it's sexy) and he'll go out of his way to make you comfortable ( i choose not to go into details about showerheads here :P ) So before i make this too long and redundant, thank you JTease for the love that you are

Who am I? The best compliment I get is "Modern Renaissance Man" - and it's a sign I'm living my life properly when it's the most frequent compliment I get as well.

True Stories

"One year from now, you may wish you had started today." -widely attributed to Karen Lamb

It started pretty small... my first note on Facebook, dated 10/24/08, titled "First Day". It was a response to a friends encouragement and inspiration, and a remarking upon my own choice to start something:

"This one's for SKVI. I may not post every day's workout, but this one I knew he'd want to see.
I choose this out of love. I choose to be t... read more

Woooo... back from WildFire and feeling great! What a lovely time in the woods with 300 of my best friends, including the ones I hadn't even met yet. I'm not going to tell too many stories right now -- although over time I'm sure the relevant ones will spill out, being a natural storyteller. Suffice to say that any time you gather 300 creative, beautiful, adventurous, and exciting people in one place to... read more

Yes, I still love you Tribe-folk who haven't made the jump or just feel more comfortable here. I'd love to find some way to automatically syndicate my Notes from Facebook and publish them here as blog entries. I'll take a look at getting that done tomorrow.

For now a brief update: I continue to work out. I cut 55 pounds and then decided to stop losing and start lifting weight for strength building. I did. Then two weeks ago, I broke my arm snowboarding.

So now, I am back to working o... read more

You can see ME and many others of our WildFire family (Roger, Rachel, Morgan, et al) performing, tomorrow night, at Johnny's Big Deal! Doors at 8, Show at 9, and that's 2 hours of awesome circus and singing and performance of various types... followed by something I can **guarantee** you've never seen me do ever before... because it's never been done!

I assure you, you will enjoy this experience. And I've got a surprise for you.

WHEN: doors @ 8, show @ 9

Crossposted from Facebook, for those of you who haven't transitioned:
10 weeks in... Can you believe it?
30 pounds, 6.5 waist inches, Down to 20.6% body fat (from 27.1%)

Next stop? I've basically reached my initial goals. I look at my new body and I'm amazed and happy and grateful. And I see where else I can go, in performance (I still need much more core, upper body, and arms to do the acro I want) and appearance (16% BF, 185#, 34"W). I think I can do it in another 6 or 8 weeks of hard ... read more

Take a peek, early draft of a card for my new venture. I'll be using a photo of me eating/fleshing/doing stuff with fire for the background, probably offset for a nice atmospheric headshot in the bottom right.

Logo comment? Layout/text comment? Good? Bad? Annoying?

Crossposted from Facebook to keep my Tribe peeps updated... "12/8: 6 Weeks Later"

Workout this morning: "Welcome Back"
21-15-9, in 14:04
Faux Muscle Ups (rings 40" off floor, kipping up to jump dips)
Split Burpees (split jumps instead of pushups)
15# dumbbells, Step Ups to OH Press

Light one, but good intensity and work to keep from breaking sets as much as possible. Learning the kips and motions and pulls to get to muscle ups, eventually.

After an awesome week of workouts and m... read more
