Hello Friends, As some of you know and some may not, Anastasia and I are leaving our large city abode and are looking to be in Victoria for this August!!!!!! We are officially on the search for the perfect home. and are looking for any leads or idea's any of you have. We are open to living with community and, in fact, this would be ideal with the right situation. Here are the things we are looking for in a home... 1.) A clean bright (above ground) house within a 20 min bike ride from downtown. 2.) We have three cats and are hoping to get a dog, so pet friendly is a must, and a yard would be ideal. 3.) We both are exited to have a garden, and hope that it can be possible. We want to create a home so we want roommates who also have energy to put into the space, and time to share it. Living in a clean space is a must. Should the perfect communal space not arise, we are open to living in a two bedroom or spacious one bedroom, so any leads that way would be appreciated. Busy Busy....but wanting to connect

So Yes feel I have been away, there are many wonderful folks who I have not see or heard in quite some time, people that I love and cherish. I just wanted those people who know who they are that yes......I still love and cherish you......, and I wanted to share a little of my Vancouver experience of the present. ................ I am currently holding down three, yes three jobs, ( a very different reality then my previous one in Victoria ) I am working at a Youth Detox center with youth Battling addictions, I am running a youth Leadership program, training youth to work with children, and I am up on Mt. Seymour working as a snowshoe guide. Yes Yes it's a little crazy, and definitely not sustainable but for the time it feels good. and maybe just maybe I can start to tackle my loans that are leering over my head. On the more non-work side of things Anastasia are moving in together ( I'm moving into her place ) for the rest of our stint here in Vancouver. Her place has basically been more my home than mine anyway, and as a bonus I get to spend more time with my new two year old room-mate Sophea, who is ( yes I'm Biased ) the most adorable baby you have ever seen ). but this too is temporary as both Ace and I feel that the City is not where we see ourselves long term and It feels like we will be moving back to Victoria to slow things down a bit, most likely in the fall. So there is a little snipet of my life right now...........so if you havn't heard from me, it's not because I havn't been thinking of you......and if you feel so inclined, I would love to hear from you.... Zodiac to lasquiti love portal!!

Hello friends, I am looking for more folks who are wanting to go to lasquiti in style!!! We have the ability to rent a zodiac leaving french creek at 7:15 to head on to lasquiti for some moving and shaking.... I am not able to catch the ferry due to prior engagements in Vancouver, so we are planning to catch the 5:00 ferry leaving horse shoe bay.. WE NEED MORE PEOPLE !!!!! if we get ten people it will be ten dollars each, right now it looks like we have six, so if youd like to come have a fun zodiac experience and leave a little later, let me know.

So as I settle into the fall of Vancouver, and realize that yes I am here, and yes I need to make it what I want it to be, I've had many personal challenges, of understanding self, witnessing my own changes and wondering where there going. I've felt loneliness, even though I am with one who loves me much, but know that true happiness comes form loving yourself, something that sounds so easy, but proves over and over how difficult it is to act upon. I realize how much a creature of my surroundings I am, and find it difficult to "keep in touch" with those who are not in my immediate life, yet miss many of you greatly. In fact I fear losing those who I care for. So I guess I'd like to tell all the people who have touched me in my life, just how much they mean to me, and I hope they know that, I don't know exactly why I felt the need to write this, but thats OK, thanks for listening Jesse

Hello Victoria community, Summer is coming and many changes are flowing into everyones veins just as they should. In our little dwelling we are looking for someone who needs a place to call home for THE MONTH OF MAY and that month only, this will include cheap rent, and a "room" which has two real walls and two makeshift walls. Patrick is leaving at the end of april to fullfill his wandering quests, and Cari and I will be exiting the space come the end of may...... So if anyone knows any wonderfully hearted wanderes who need a spot to land for a month, let me know.... lotsa love to you all Jesse

So it all really starts now, Just finished pre camp training, going on an intesive three day hike, 40km, and a three day river paddle, and now starting monday there trusting me to do the same thing with 16 year olds...excitment, nervousness, antisipation, I leave for a five day hike on monday, then, one day to plan and prepare for a four day canoe trip, just me and one other councellor on both...... I'm stoked to "outpost" is the place where I live, its a little sub camp, 200 km from main camp, in the middle a no where, our only "neihbors" ios a ranch where all the horses for all of canada's national parks get trained, and other then that is mountains and rivers, the area is actually called ya ha tinda ( stoney) meaning prairies on the mountains, which is exactly what it is, very beautiful, we have about 20 horses, which I get to ride on my time off, and get to help the horse staff out with some of the work they do, cleaning them, picking their feet, feeding them, herding, ya its a pretty different life, which I feel so privilaged to call mine right now................. jesse

Ahhhhhh, some say summer happens on summer solstice but I say summer is a frame of mind, and you'll feel it when you feel it....... and feel it I shall, I'm leaving this summer up to the great god of randomness, to show me what I need to see.. but alas there are a few things that I would like to throw out into the world to see what possibilities are floating around out there... If anyone is aware of any opportunites for any intentional youth work, I.E Camps, workshops, gatherings, conferences, etc.. the catch being somthing that wouln't take over my entire summer ( week to three week contracts or volunteer work) I would be gracious in accepting some contacts and info.... As well I feel a call to gain some new expereinces and knowledge in the healing arts, and spiritual practices, and would also love to acept and hear about any experiences and leads in that direction... keep it real...... or imaginary however you like it. jesse

Sun shine, only for a breif moment but today, it was there..... I saw it peek out from behind those ever present clouds......Spring will be here sooner then we know it..I'd like to propose a monthly celebration of the passing of time...and a chance to connect with our community in an more intimite natural setting, via a monthly full moon beach gathering.... I invite anyone interested to contact me, if there are any idea's on ways to create this with an intentional vibe, It would be of great apreciation to recieve input..... A hot-rock sauna is a possibilty I was thinking about...... jesse
