LONDON (AP) -- Richard Wright, a founding member of the rock group Pink Floyd, died Monday. He was 65. Pink Floyd's spokesman, Doug Wright, who is not related to the artist, said Wright died after a battle with cancer at his home in Britain. He says the band member's family did not want to give more details about his death.

Wright met Pink Floyd members Roger Waters and Nick Mason in college and joined their early band, Sigma 6. Along with the late Syd Barrett, the four formed Pink Floyd in 1965.

The group's jazz-infused rock and drug-laced multimedia ''happenings'' made them darlings of the London psychedelic scene, and their 1967 album, ''The Piper at the Gates of Dawn,'' was a hit.

In the early days of Pink Floyd, Wright, along with Barrett, was seen as the group's dominant musical force. The London-born musician and son of a biochemist wrote songs and played the keyboard.

''Rick's keyboards were an integral park of the Pink Floyd sound,'' said Joe Boyd, a prominent record producer who worked with Pink Floyd early in its career.

The band released a series of commercially and critically successful albums including 1973's ''Dark Side of the Moon,'' which has sold more than 40 million copies. Wright wrote ''The Great Gig in the Sky'' and ''Us and Them'' for that album, and later worked on the group's epic compositions such as ''Atom Heart Mother,'' ''Echoes'' and ''Shine on You Crazy Diamond.''

But tensions grew among Waters, Wright and fellow band member David Gilmour. The tensions came to a head during the making of ''The Wall'' when Waters insisted Wright be fired. As a result, Wright was relegated to the status of session musician on the tour of ''The Wall,'' and did not perform on Pink Floyd's 1983 album, ''The Final Cut.''

Wright formed a new band Zee with Dave Harris, from the band Fashion, and released one album, ''Identity,'' with Atlantic Records.

Waters left Pink Floyd in 1985 and Wright began recording with Mason and Gilmour again, releasing the albums ''The Division Bell'' and ''A Momentary Lapse of Reason'' as Pink Floyd. Wright also released the solo albums ''Wet Dream'' (1978) and ''Broken China'' (1996).

In July 2005, Wright, Waters, Mason and Gilmour reunited to perform at the ''Live 8'' charity concert in London -- the first time in 25 years they had been onstage together.

Wright also worked on Gilmour's solo projects, most recently playing on the 2006 album ''On an Island'' and the accompanying world tour.

Gilmour paid tribute to Wright on Monday, saying his input was often forgotten.

''He was gentle, unassuming and private but his soulful voice and playing were vital, magical components of our most recognized Pink Floyd sound,'' he said. ''I have never played with anyone quite like him.''

Create:Fixate presents

“Backscatter II”

The Fifth Annual All Photography Show

Saturday, July 12, 2008

LOS ANGELES, CA - Arts organization Create:Fixate presents “Backscatter II” its fifth annual All Photography Show with guest curation by Jason Elias. On Saturday, July 12, 2008 the new downtown LA location known as LOT 613/Premiere Events Center will play host to Backscatter with two warehouses filled with nothing but photography and a live musical soundtrack provided by top local DJs and musicians. Elias explains, “The theme of this year’s Backscatter Photography Show is curated around the basic meditative practice of awareness. The selected photographers were chosen for their work that brings a unique and personal perspective to a sense of simply seeing things as they are.” The venue is located at 613 Imperial Street, Los Angeles, CA 90021. The full-blown event runs from 7:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. Admission is $15.00. All ages are welcome. For more information please call 310-590-7199 or visit www.createfixate.com.

The evening begins with a preview of the exhibit from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. There is a suggested donation of $5.00 per person for the preview portion and parents are encouraged to bring the whole family where the Kids Kreativity Zone will be overflowing with art supplies. This kid-friendly area will provide a space where youth can dive into their own expression while parents explore the evening’s exhibit. Kids twelve-years old and younger are allowed free entry before 7 o’clock.

Thirty-five photographers will be featured in July’s event presenting a vast array of photographic moments captured from all over the world and our own backyard of Los Angeles. Tait Simpson’s images explore spaces left behind, most notably in the isolated landscape of Iceland. More than just a resonant investigation of solitude – his series attempts to make the forgotten relevant once again. Sebastian Artz tends to be more composed and minimalist and lately seems to gravitate towards aquatic themes after seeing a 19th-century aquatic illustration on one of his trips to Europe. “Even today many marine creatures seem menacing, alien and quite mysterious.” In the “Kraken” series Artz opted for stark black images that are mysterious and fascinating, repulsive and beautiful, fear inducing and attractive. Sam Comen makes pictures of landscapes in order to document man’s relationship to the natural world. Comen employs his training as a photojournalist to focus on a person’s place in, and impact on, their surroundings, and he is interested in how people’s stories are told by the places they inhabit. Comen also works as a portraitist for national magazines such as Rolling Stone, Details, and Newsweek.

As always, the Create:Fixate experience includes something interactive for guest participation. “Live Photography” projects will be created by the innovative team Polite in Public, as well as by photographer Greg Cohen. A blend of performance and installation art; it’s the essence of Karaoke in the form of photography and is immensely enjoyable.

This exhibit will also feature student photographic work from participants in Venice Arts programs. Venice Arts is an innovative arts center that brings talented artists together with low-income young people to nurture their creativity, imagination, and talent. Their programs focus on those whose access to the arts, as artists or audience, has been limited. Venice Arts’ ‘mentor-artists’ program guide young people through experiences with the arts, exposing them to the tools, ideas, and environments that help them express their creativity, build positive interethnic relationships, and improve their academic performance and job readiness.

The musical component of the evening, dubbed ‘Audio Lab,’ is as rich as the visual tapestry. Many DJs will take the decks on the 12th and some special live treats include… So Cal native Aloe Blacc, an MC since 1995, known for his forays into the digital R&B realm, tinged with Latin and the pulse of hip-hop, will be in full effect. DJ Buck from New York to Beijing to Jakarta, brings his 19 years of experience from such legendary clubs as The Hacienda and Ministry of Sound to PS1 and Fabric. Kenneth Graham, booked from Chili to Switzerland, will perform live – a rare treat. And Jupiter, co-founder of the acclaimed Lefthouse Recordings label, will share his celestial sounds from LA’s underground breakbeat scene.

Create:Fixate is dedicated to showcasing the work of emerging and mid-career artists in a unique environment. Usually, every three months, Create:Fixate founder Michelle Berc curates, produces and hosts these stunning group art shows that present creative people from around the globe with an emphasis on the local talent of Los Angeles. The production team includes music coordinator Andrea Giardina. A typical Create:Fixate event presents awe-inspiring painters, photographers, sculptors, and multi-media artists who exhibit alongside an equally impressive array of Los Angeles’ finest DJs and musicians. Each event’s aural artists are poised to create a soundtrack for the night that transforms this from a simple ‘art show’ into the city’s most anticipated Art Event.

For over 30 years, Samy’s Camera has been the leader in sales and rentals of the highest quality imaging products and the ultimate resource for the professional and amateur photographer. PHFE Management Solutions (PHFE) helps to provide a comprehensive administrative and fiscal structure for Create:Fixate’s nonprofit division. PHFE Management Solutions, also known as Public Health Foundation Enterprises, is a 37-year-old 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing back office support and management services to other nonprofit organizations.

The artists being showcased at Create:Fixate’s “Backscatter II” event on Saturday, July 12, 2008 are listed below:

Amy Kaps

Amy Kaps works primarily with digital photography, video and live, multi-media performance. The nude is a favored subject for Kaps and our perception is challenged when objects are taken out of context. On view at Create:Fixate are examples from her portrait series. In isolating circular forms found on every human body, the portraits consist of photographs of three images: the eye, the nipple, and the navel. Features specific to each body, like a thumbprint, are a unique and intimate portrait representing the essence of that individual. Printed on fine cotton, they retain a certain fragility. Amy Kaps was born in Brooklyn, NY, lived in Germany and Japan and currently resides in Venice, CA.

Anne Carmack

Anne Carmack strives to gather the unique moments, the fleeting flashes of who we all are, who we hope to be and how we want to be remembered. Her growing collection of crooked smiles, hands held high in absolute delight, twinkling eyes and twirling skirts, picks up right where her paintings leave off, in a world of accidental authenticity… courageous beauty by mistake

Cary Sullivan

Cary Sullivan traverses the culture, music and art landscape from producing large scale music festivals in Africa to booking the weekly multimedia Afro Funke’ club night in Los Angeles. Her photographs have defined the cutting-edge series of flyers that have promoted Afro Funke’ since its inception five years ago.

The photographs Cary Sullivan will be displaying at this next Create:Fixate show reflect recent work with her NGO Africa Live! and its collaborative projects with UNICEF and the Carter Foundation, which focus on the crucial water and sanitation issues plaguing Northern Ghana. Sullivan has been a featured photographer in a variety of recent Los Angeles group shows including Cathexis at Julia Dean Studios, the ICI Fundraiser at Art Share, Create:Fixate’s All Photography Show, Alive in Los Angeles and their 6th Anniversary RE:UNION exhibition. She is planning a solo exhibition of her work in Los Angeles in late 2008.

David Hauver

David Hauver’s photography documents the relationship between man and nature. He is especially interested in highlighting nature’s resistance to human expansion, and his photographs capture images of man’s decay within a natural context. His other photographic interests include fashion photography and landscapes, but he always/often returns to images that illustrate the juxtaposition between manmade artifacts and natural surroundings.

Jared Dastrups

Jared Dastrups’ focus of work is on the Pacific Ocean. His favorite past time is surfing, so naturally his passion for photography followed him to the beach. He uses long exposures to smooth and soften the oceans turbulent surface. This unique style offers a rare glimpse at a surreal scene of the ocean we love so much. Whether it is where the sand dives into the sea, a celestial body floating on the horizon, or a pier-jetting out into the depths, Dastrups brings home a magnificent vision of the Pacific Ocean.

Jason Barbagelott

Born August 26 1977, in Erlangen, Germany, Jason Barbagelott moved to Georgia when he was ten years old. Growing up in the rural south, he quickly became bored with the slow pace and lack of resources and opportunity. He picked up a camera, started shooting and thus, a passion was born. Barbagelott then packed up his bags and moved to California to follow his dreams. He currently resides in Los Angeles doing what he loves.

Jason Elias

Jason Elias is a photographer and writer living in Venice, California. Elias also runs a Travel Photography workshop business, works in film and is currently working on a documentary. He has been with Create:Fixate for years in many capacities, and is curator of the current All-Photography Show. More of his work can be seen at: www.jasonelias.com.

JC Jaress

The photographs, paintings and digital imagery of JC Jaress have been featured in over 60 exhibitions nationwide since 1996. His work has appeared in magazines, on the cover of many books, a music CD, and on the label of Longoria Winery’s 1999 and 2000 Blues Cuvee. Jaress served as President and Chairman of the Board of the Los Angeles Art Association from 2001-02 and continues his support of the Arts in Los Angeles through his participation at 826LA and InsideOUT Writers.

Jaress states that his work is grounded in the act of seeing. “Perception,” he explains, “is the process by which we frame our external world – as a process it takes place instantaneously, continuously, and with or without our conscious effort. The image, a photograph for example, is simply a starting point in that process. The image comes with assumptions; the image has a history of its own and another that is written by the photographer and yet another that is written by the viewer. The image has a malleable consciousness, which it can transfer uniquely and indefinitely. That’s a hell of a process.” Jaress lives and works from his home at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains in Altadena, CA.

Joel Wachbrit

Joel Wachbrit’s artistic career has taken place mostly on stages and studios as a professional guitarist and for the last decade as a successful composer/songwriter for TV and film. He has had an on again- off again relationship with photography since he was 13. In 2000 he began studying a form of contemplative photography called Miksang (Tibetan meaning “Good Eye”). As a long time practitioner of Buddhist meditation Wachbrit began to see photography as a practice itself in seeing simplicity and beauty in the ordinary and everyday world. Mostly self-taught as a photographer, Wachbrit’s aspiration is to stay open and always keep a beginner’s eye.

Josh Reiss

Josh Reiss has used imagery for expression throughout his entire life. His talents in drawing and computer graphics led to a career spanning over a decade in special effects working on productions for Pixar and Sony Imageworks, as well as teaching at the School of Visual Arts in New York.

Reiss uses photography to examine moments and motion as a refraction of a greater lyricism. His current work involves finding significant personal moments amidst the chaos of a large-scale gathering. It is in these ‘intimate spectacles’ where Reiss finds the sublime amongst the fleeting moments and subtle details of human experience.

Linka Odom

Linka Odom’s interest in photography and imagery stems from a childhood of creek walking and exploration in her native state of Texas. This sense of adventure continues to influence her images, with a focus on extreme cultures and the surreal. Odom has been exhibiting and photographing for fifteen+ years. This is her first exhibition in Los Angeles that combines the art of installation with photographic imagery. ‘Ash & Sparks’ uses a combination of photography and lighting to influence an emotional response in the viewer. Transcending the static relationship of ‘looking at’ and encouraging one’s internal dialogue to generate creative impulse.

Matthew Brookman

Matthew Brookman documents personalities, places, and things in solitude – revealing honest and striking imperfections, and emotions in our local and global lives. In contrast to the perfection of food and food photography in the United States, this series shows tactile textures, organic forms, and unique flaws. Brookman lives in Washington, D.C. and travels near and far to take pictures. More of his work can be viewed on brookmancreative.com.

Nicole Fournier

Displayed in her series “Random Visual Noise,” Nicole Fournier photographs patterns she finds in industrial areas. There is a space that is created, a space that allows the subject to interact in their “cropped” environment, giving the inanimate objects their own personality. This allows the viewer to interpret that interaction, be it of tension or of a playful nature. Originally from New Jersey, Fournier graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design and Photography. She currently resides at the Brewery Art Complex, just outside of downtown Los Angeles.

Olivia Hook

Born and raised in the deserts of Southern California, Olivia Hook has spent much of the last eight years living all over the world. Although she is quite new to the world of photography, her work has been featured in major magazines and showcased in exhibits from Kentucky to Hong Kong. She loves shooting film and enjoys playing with various processing techniques and developing her own tricks for unique results. She lives by the beach, makes her career as a librarian at a small university, and is in the process of completing her MFA in New Media.

Sam Comen

Sam Comen (b. 1980) makes pictures of landscapes in order to document man’s relationship to the natural world. Comen employs his training as a photojournalist to focus on a person’s place in, and impact on their surroundings, and he is interested in how people’s stories are told by the places they inhabit. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he has traveled extensively in the US in search of images that tell of the unique American experience. Sam also works as a portraitist for national magazines such as Rolling Stone, Details, and Newsweek.

Samuel Peltz

Photographer. Born 1980, Ithaca, NY. Resides in New York City.

Sarah Bay Williams

Sarah Bay Williams, pulled by the opposing forces of science and art, seeks out circumstances in which the two can be combined. In her artwork, her focus centers on transference of energy, finding suitable subjects in light, emotion and the potential for movement. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Williams studied painting, drawing and producing comic books in college, the latter of which inspired a streak of storytelling and then film school with a concentration in writing and cinematography. She moved to Los Angeles in 2000 to work in the film industry and, after four years of being a film executive, she re-entered the world of visual art. When not working as the photography coordinator at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Williams is a photographer, an illustrator, a bookmaker, a painter and she creates papier-mâché piñatas full of chocolates and tiny bottles of booze.

Sebastian Artz

Sebastian Artz began his photographic career after a college exchange brought him from Germany to California to UCLA’s film school. Shortly after deciding to extend his sojourn in the States he began pursuing commercial assignments for European and American clients. He became known for his portrait and lifestyle images and his work is widely published in numerous magazines and advertisements.

In his personal work Artz tends to be more composed and minimalist and lately seems to gravitate towards aquatic themes. He became interested in marine subjects after seeing a 19th-century aquatic illustration on one of his trips to Europe. “Even today many marine creatures seem menacing, alien and quite mysterious. There’s still very little we know about them and in the case of the octopus to this day it is perceived as a ‘monster of the sea.’ Its mythology is as alive today as it was a few hundred years ago.” In the “Kraken” series Artz opted for stark black images that are mysterious and fascinating, repulsive and beautiful, fear inducing and attractive. With the use of creative crops and extreme close-ups he has managed to manipulate and often distort the watery world in which the non-vertebrae live.

Sebastian Artz currently lives in Venice and still has no plans to go back home to Europe.

Tait Simpson

Tait Simpson was born in Eugene, Oregon and raised in Los Angeles, CA. He began making images on his twelfth birthday when his uncle gave him a toy video camera that recorded onto audiotape. He attended Vassar College and subsequently the University of Edinburgh (UK) receiving a degree in philosophy. The images in this collection are part of his recent work exploring spaces left behind, most notably in the isolated landscape of Iceland. More than just a resonant investigation of solitude – this collection attempts to make the forgotten relevant once again.

Vincent Picardi

Vincent Picardi became interested in photography at age 15. But it wasn’t until 2001, when he was a successful Creative Director in the advertising industry and began to suffer from the syndrome known as “all work and no play” that he took up photography in earnest. His Russian point and shoot camera, The Lomo, enables him to capture images that benefit his vision of art: The extraordinary, drawn from the ordinary. Picardi’s work was first exhibited in a show at the Mad River Gallery, Santa Monica, in the spring of 2002. Exhibits at Riot, Santa Monica, the Santa Monica Art Studios, and Art Walk both in Downtown LA and Culver City.

Picardi is currently the house photographer of Creative Services Gallery in Culver City, CA. His work can also be seen on the sets of “Dirty Sexy Money” on ABC, and in commercials for Lexus and Neutrogena.

Greg Cohen

Greg Cohen first picked up the camera in Tennessee in 1993, and has lived throughout the United States shooting along the way. Now more focused on a global scale, he is currently developing projects in central Africa and Southeast Asia.

There is a humanness to his imagery, connecting diverse people through their undeniable similarities; exploring the strange and familiar simultaneously. His work finds truth, humor, and pathos in the experiences of his subjects and the landscapes that surround them. Originally from the East Coast, Cohen now lives in Los Angeles.

Michael Rababy

Documentary/street photographer Michael Rababy likes taking pictures of people. He studied art history at the University of San Diego before spending time in Paris. Taking influence from Henri Toulouse-Lautrec and Henri Cartier-Bresson, his ethnographic documentary book, American Bachelor details the highs and lows of the single male. His work has shown up in the VICE magazine photo book, on the E! network, and has recently completed the short film “Still Lives.”

Rababy’s new short creates a pure cinematic experience - a 10-minute short film with no dialog. “Still Lives” is the story of a man and a woman falling in - and out - of love, told through black and white still photographs and set to the music of Ravel and Satie.

Rababy lives in Southern California with his record collection and is currently at work on his latest masterpiece.

Alex Thomas

Fifteen-year old Alex Thomas has been studying photography for the past 4 years. It has become one of Thomas’ favorite things in her life. In general, she never considered herself a creative person. “The subjects in my portraits are showing a side of themselves and they leave enough room for me to show a side of me too. My pictures are pieces of me, memories, wishes, my identity. I’m told that my pictures have a ‘peaceful’ vibe and that would be because when I’m holding my camera, looking (squinting) through the viewfinder I am at peace with the world.”

Amanda Christmas

Amanda Christmas is 16 years old and has been studying photography for the past year at Venice Arts. Relatively new to photography, Christmas has excelled quickly and has a natural talent for composition and finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. She is studying both digital and black & white photography and is considering a career as a professional photographer in her future.

Tony Bautista

She started in black & white photography, became a successful darkroom printer and then moved into digital photography and then into filmmaking. Over the past year Ramirez has also worked at Venice Arts as a youth photography mentor assisting the beginning black & white, and now digital photography class.

Hannah Riskin-Jones

Hannah Riskin-Jones is an incoming senior at Archer School for Girls. She has spent the last 3 years studying both black & white and digital photography in classes at school and at Venice Arts. Her photographs are overwhelmingly portraits of her family or her close friends because she feels strongly that photographs should be organic, a dialogue between photographer, subject and viewer. In the future, she plans to expand her study of the visual image to other media such as film.

Elena Nardini

Elena Nardini is a senior at Palisades Charter High School. She was born in Glendale, California and since then has managed to inhabit a variety of areas in Los Angeles ranging from the Inland Empire, to Playa del Rey, to the canyons of Malibu, to the beaches of Venice, to the city of Santa Monica and she knows she’s not settled down yet as she prepares to graduate this spring. She has been working with Venice Arts for about 7 years and their programs are what got her into black & white photography. Nardini plans to continue with this passion into college and hopefully into her career. She chooses her subjects from the diverse people and unique experiences that make up her life and it shows in her work.

Otterbach has owned and operated two successful art galleries in Laguna Beach and currently works out of his studio and workshop in Venice, CA.

Solsis ‘clothing for the soul’ emerged about 3 years ago by an ambitious artist and clothing designer by the name of Stephanie Engel. Receiving a BA in Fine Art, focusing her study in sculpture, after college, Engel decided to start her own line of clothing. Solsis designs draws inspiration from the many passions Engel beholds in life, like sculpture, dance, surfing, yoga, and travel. Aloe Blacc

So Cal native Aloe Blacc began his recording career as an MC back in 1995, when he joined up with hip-hop producer Exile to form the mainstay indie rap group, Emanon. A few years later, Blacc would stow away on a Lootpack European tour and become fast friends with Oh No a relationship which led to many fruitful collaborations as a solo artist.

These days, Aloe Blacc has evolved into a true Renaissance man dubbed the indie R. Kelly by online retailer Turntable Lab. Recordings like his Latin cover of John Legend’s Ordinary People prove that not only can this multi-instrumentalist produce, rap and sing but he can flip it in Spanish, too. With an amazingly broad set of influences ranging widely from the acoustic guitar stylings of folk artist Cat Stevens, to the soul-stirring sounds of the Negro Spirituals, Aloe Blacc prides himself on the spectrum of his musical roots. His sound often forays into the digital R&B realm, but always grooves with a tinge of Latin and the pulse of hip-hop.

DJ Buck

From New York to Beijing to Jakarta, from The Hacienda and Ministry of Sound to PS1 and Fabric; DJ Buck wears his 19 years in music well. Broadcasting his communiqué of “something old, something new, something me, something you” is indicative of the fact that anyone can find his or her niche in his music. So come one, come all and dance ’til you fall… www.myspace.com/djbuck

DROOG

DROOG is the DJ cadre of Andrei Osyka, Brett Griffin and Justin Sloe. They play dance music — techno, house, minimal. DROOG has had the honor of playing alongside influences such as Richie Hawtin, Lee Burridge, Damian Lazarus, Tiefschwarz, Three, Mr. C, Booka Shade, MANDY, Jamie Jones, Matthew Dear, Magda and Tiga. Currently they have a residency at Avalon (Hollywood), as well as promote their own parties, including a recent Freak n’ Chic label showcase at the WMC ‘08 and an event with Phonique.

Drumcell (Droid)

Co-founder of Droid Behavior, Drumcell has been one of techno’s greatest allies in Southern California in recent times. Over the last 5 years Drumcell has rocked parties on a weekly basis in LA, released tracks on labels omniscient, remains, heavy Industries, and his own DROID recordings imprint. When performing, Drumcell can be seen blurring the lines between a live and a DJ set by utilizing tools such as FX processors , samplers, drum machines and other devices to weave a thick blend of acidic techno and aggressive but funky minimalist grooves to ensure a frenzy amongst his listeners.

From Leaf to Feather

Raised in Los Angeles, From Leaf To Feather is the ethereal pop/midtempo quartet of Steven Gonzalez (keys), Ramiro Saucedo (drums), Albert Santiago (bass), and Melessa Bratten (vocals). Discovered with their underground hit “Nightsun,” the melodic and avant garde outfit will perform at Create Fixate.

Jubal & Alfonso (Recline Sounds)

After his discovery of trip-hop and acid-jazz in the late 90’s, Jubal set himself on a mission to find venues to spin. His enduring efforts paid off: for he found fulfillment in seeing many lounge-goers enjoy his successful DJ nights that he built from the ground up. Jubal currently holds down a Wednesday night DJ residency at Kitsch Bar in Costa Mesa, one of the few remaining evenings devoted solely to chilled-out sounds.

Alfonso began DJing at various events during his college years in the mid-90s. While he interned at The Beastie Boys’ Grand Royal record label, he was frequently given fresh pressed tracks - all on vinyl. Naturally, Alfonso was inspired to get more serious about his art. In the summer of 2003, he co-founded Recline Sounds with his DJ partner Jubal, a Create:Fixate regular contributor.

Jupiter (The DoLab/Lefthouse)

Jupiter hails from the celestial ranks of the Los Angeles underground breakbeat scene. He has opened for such greats as Bassnector, Tipper, Adam Freeland, and The Glitch Mob. He has electrified crowds with his signature low end bass frequencies from L.A. to Tokyo. Jupiter is one of the founders and CEOs of the acclaimed Lefthouse Recordings label.

Kenneth Graham

Always infinitely combining equal elements of mind and machine, Kenneth Graham’s sound is both clinical and funky. It’s no surprise that since his introduction to electronic music in 1984, Graham has gone on to become one of the most influential dance music producers, and was named “Next 100″ for 2000 in URB Magazine. But Graham’s music exceeds the limitations of restrictive titles; it is simply good music. He has produced and remixed for such labels as Ovum, Stickman, and Eukahouse just to name a few. His music has also been licensed to various mixed CDs including Peace Division & G-Pal. Graham is primarily driven by a desire to create timeless moments and the diversity of his sound is simply a reflection of that same desire. Booked from Chili to Switzerland, his live performances are always a treat. This producer’s talent inspires spontaneous creative activity and intense body movement, so beware.

Mikan

Since his start in 2000, DJ Mikan has been bringing his soulful sounds to the LA and Bay Area. With a heavy emphasis on laying down positive vibes, Mikan spins an eclectic mix of Souljazzfunk, Hip Hop, Downtempo, Broken Beat and everything in between.
