Lets bring it back with a blaze of glory....

Sunday April 20th at
Hot Rods and Hogs
Watson Rd.
Arlington, TX.

Come out and see several bands, have a drink and enjoy the music. All we ask is a donation at the door... all donations will go towards rebuilding everything that was lost in the fire (for my parents).

The first band will start at 1PM and go until close....

Thanks to all who helped put this together... it means so much to our family that so many people care.

Ok so after a week of the flu (what I thought would practically kill me).... I am alive. WOO HOO. I survived the 102-103 degree fever for four days and the fear that my body might explode due to the pain.... Yes I am whining and complaining about how bad I hurt - but I am moving around and working again! SWEET....

Just thought I'd let everyone know that I hadn't fallen off the face of the earth - but I'm back with the living again!

Some People Have NO SHAME.....

So I got paid yesterday... "Friday night, just got paid" Woo Hoo. I got a nice check - it was just enough for me to fix my power steering, pay my rent, and other bills and have just enough for gas and food for the next two weeks. Sweet deal - I'm happy when I am not hurting and I have a little extra left over (it feels good not to stress).

So last night I treat myself to some sushi (which is always awesome), and an outfit (like I said - it was nice to have extra money and I felt I deserved it).

What is the point to my story about people not having shame?

Well I got home last night and while paying for my Jack-in-the-Box I decided to count what I had. I am missing 200.00. I have recounted everything I spent yesterday and even rounded up and I am short 200.00. After recounting the night I know that I had my purse in a spot at one time that someone could have taken it. If they did, I know them, and they were smart.... they didn't take it all... just enough that I wouldn't notice it right away.

This is where I come to my point of the title... people have no shame. Things were just starting to look up for me... this is just my luck. Apparently they needed it more than I did. I am trying not to get down about this.... but come on, really - why? I know that at one point when I grabbed my purse, my pills fell out (which means that someone opened it), and my wallet was not closed.... I hate to assume that someone stole the money - but I know (no matter how much I had to drink last night) that I did not spend that much money.

I am just so beside myself right now. I feel that for every few steps I take in the right direction, I get knocked back down (10 steps)...

Sorry for the rant - and the no point to the story - but man 200.00 is a lot to lose, when you really don't have anything.... remember I started from scratch in January (and it is still January).

I guess I didn't need that money, huh?

ELBOW TATT... OMG.... OMG.....

Ok, so if you have been following my progress on my 1/2 sleeve tattoo, you know that I am getting a dragon that starts on my chest, over my shoulder and wraps my arm and stops just below my elbow.... ** now side note** when Dan the man (artist) was drawing the tatt on me, I told him no elbow tattooing, and he was like "oh - you will have a flower on your elbow". I've always heard that it was a very painful spot. When he did the out line, it didn't hurt too overly bad, so what was everyone talking about?

Well I am 5 sessions in and of course the first question you get asked is "did it hurt", or "what was the most painful area". Which got me to thinking. In the past 5 sessions, I try and think about which spot hurt the most... and it changed with each session. For the most part it was hurting me in my upper shoulder and to my back (deltoid area). It was pretty sensitive in the crevase of my elbow. Surprisingly the inside of my arm wasn't AS painful as I expected. Up to this point it has been like a normal tatt... yeah it hurts, but after 3 hours everything is going to hurt - right?

Where is my point to this story right? Well after finding out some pretty bad news, I called my tattoo artist for some pain (I know its weird but it is just how I'm wired). So we did the flowers.... Or tried to.

1. The elbow is the worst spot in the WORLD - HOLY EFFIN CHRIMEINEY
2. I take blood thinners, and normally don't take them the day before but this time was not planned

He had to stop because my elbow was bleeding SO bad, and was afraid that I would push the color out from bleeding. Not to mention - look at the newest picture I posted. My elbow looks like I have elephantitis in it right now. It is SOOOO mad at me right now. It doesn't hurt, it is just swollen 3x the normal size...

OWWIE... but man is it going to look good when it is done.... I am also SOOO glad to be done with the elbow... now I'm going to admit that I'm kinda scared to finish this thing after this last short 1 hour session... but maybe we have the worst behind us now!

***** TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURE OF MY ELBOW *****
THE TATTOO IS ON THE TIP OF THE ELBOW... YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURE THAT THE SWELLING GOES DOWN ABOUT 4 INCHES.... I FEEL LIKE POPEYE...

money to pay for my divorce. I thought about asking for a dollar from my friends until I have enough, and then I realized I don't have 258 friends.

At this point, I need this. I don't know if the court house is going to be open before the new year - but this is my new years resolution. I need to rid my self of the extra baggage (being that I have already lost the weight, now I need to lose the dead beat... I mean dead weight).

I just need suggestions. I have sold just about all my furniture (aside from my dresser - so if you know of anyone that needs one of those let me know). And that was before I really wanted the divorce so I payed bills with that money.

I have to start this new year fresh.... Please if you have ideas - let me know.....

Ok so I last night I did my session # 4 on my half sleeve of my dragon. I know that you still can't "see" it as a whole - but I got the flames colored in last night. As of right now, I have about 12 hours into this thing... and a WHOLE bunch more to go. We still have the cherry blossums to color in, then we start the body (which will take more than one session - I'm guessing) and then we have to start on the head which will be outlined again (then healed) and then start the color on it.... Will i ever get done???

I don't care - I love it and each time I get more done - it starts to fill in bit by bit.... :D

So drained - yet so excited.

Did I mention that it totally drains me to sit and go through that process.... UGH! BUT YIPPIE!

Ok, so I have been losing weight.
I bought me a new pair of pants about a month ago to celebrate. I was totally shocked to get a size 29. It is the first time that I have been under a size 30 in over I don't know I think four years. Well that was a month ago like I said - and now those jeans were getting a little loose (but nothing a dryer wouldn't tighten up). Being that now I only had one pair of jeans that fit me, I went shopping last night. Determined to buy me one more pair of jeans. I did.... and I was able to fit into a size 28. I didn't want to buy them... I was afraid that if bought them they wouldn't fit when I got home...I haven't been a size 28 since high school, there is no way that this is right - right? Surely the pants are mismarked... so I tried on about four pair of the same size to make sure. They did fit, and I did buy them. I am very happy - and I put them on last night (even though I didn't go anywhere) and strutted around the house like I was a little girl!

YEAH !!!!!!

Ok so I found this GHETTOFAB picture of me from 1983, which means I was 7. I copied it next to a picture from this year before my 31st b-day.

In looking at the picture of me when I was a kid - it made me wonder - do we realize that we change when it is happening? I see a little girl - that is totally happy and oblivious to the world.... and then I see me now... and I know me now... the somewhat weird girl (which I have always been)... I always say that I am the "black sheep" in my family - and some of my sisters get so upset when I say that. Yes I am different in the sense that I am fly by the seat of my pants, tattooed, pierced - bellydancer that just doesn't have the white pickett fence - I float around jobs and I'm kind of wreckless... then I see my family - all married with kids - steady jobs - just all around "family people"....

When we change - do we know it????

Just a thought?

Ok so see blog below and then add to that - that during the month of November if you schedule your appt... you will recieve a free consultation and if you purchase a package of a min of 5 sessions you will get half off of your sessions.

Not to mention they are working on referral pricing - where if you refer someone you will get a said dollar amount off of any touch up sessions etc. and the person referred will get 1/2 off of the first session (of course this will benefit you after the total 1/2 off special ends....

I started mine yesterday and already I can see a difference. I would HIGHLY recommend this... ladies get your men to get this for you for Christmas. If you get the bikini wax package now you'll be ready for summer!!! Who wouldn't love that and to save your man half price on it! WOOT!

Most of you know that my father is a doctor. He recently opened up his own practice. With this comes new and exciting things. He is looking for word of mouth referrals... so I figured that the best place to do this is on tribe.

Starting in November (now taking appointments) he will be offering the following services:

#1-laser hair removal
#2-facial rejuvenation
#3-laser sun spot spider veins and vascular abnormalities
#5-Rosacea treatment
#6-Minor acne problems and some acne scar formation.

The prices range from $50-$250 per session which is less than most of the larger places.

His office is near the zoo in Fort Worth off of University (behind the Denny's off of Merrimac). His office number is: 817-870-8638.

Please pass the word on - if you know of anyone interested. I love my father very much and would love to help him out as much as possible!

Ok everyone HATES moving... here is the deal. With everything that has been going on with my heart - I can't lift more than 5-10 pounds (Dr's orders, and well I just can't do it anymore without craping out and being in pain the rest of the day - I found that out the other day when I started packing).

I am trying to pack as much as I can on my own - without crapping out 30 min's after I start. What I need is help. I need to get a storage unit and get my stuff out, and my only days off are Sunday and Tuesdays. If anyone can help that's great - if not - no worries.

I can't do it Tuesday because I am having a procedure done that day and will be out of it the entire day! GREAT FUN huh?

Thanks again to everyone that has offered there help and words of wisdom.

So we found an outfit at Thrift Town and headed to Vino's to celebrate my 31st!
Mid night there was a gentleman there that asked if he could take our picture. After about 4 more times asking, we finally said ok. I have to say - THANK YOU DAYLON WALTON..... who would have thought that our fun night of dress up could look so cool???

Here's the link to check them out!

Dance vs. Work

So I just started my new job. I have been here for two weeks now. I am still "in training", however - they want me to skip a week of training and get on the phones. If I do that, I start on the phone today. It is a big honor to be asked to advance that quickly. My dilema is that if I say yes (which my trainer has been pushing for me all week to get on the phones early), then I have to take tomorrow off, and then work Saturday 9-6PM.... so the question arises.... I get paid to work, and Kismet is Saturday. I'd get off at 6PM, but the performance is in Carrolton and I don't think that I can get there in time to check in..... I really want to dance being that I'm doing the whole solo thing right now, but I have been out of work for three months and need the money.

Do I dance or work?

So after a stint of being out of work, and it looking like I was just unhireable.... I finally got a job.
*takes deep breath*
I am so happy that I am going to be finally out of the house and back in the grind of things. Seems like so much is changing in my life right now. No more Liquid Hips (Shocking I know, but I still wish Brandi and Katy well with their choice and endeavors). And then add being out of work for three months.... that could cause someone to head into a downward spiral. But now it is starting to look up. Erik is still in hair school and doing an amazing job. He is top in the school right now. He has a three week waiting list on the books and a week to get into see him after hours (yes he is cutting hair outside of school right now). I am so very proud of him and know that this is a step in the right direction. There is talk (or persuation - on his part) to get me to go to hair school when he is almost out.... but hmmm.... still to be seen if that is what I want to do. Me going back to work...we are heading uphill.... Whew.....

Thanks to all that had to listen to me bitch day in and day out about being out of work, putting in for several jobs and never hearing back.... thank you for all of that. I love my close and dear friends.

For those of you who attended Kismet last night (or have read my blog on myspace), you now know this but I figure that I'd go ahead and post something about it for those of you who couldn't attend last night.

You know Katy, Brandi and myself as members of Liquid Hips. As we all know in life, things always don't stay the same..

Brandi and Katy have decided to dance together as a duet (new name TBA), and I will be dancing solo. This is an amicable parting, and Liquid Hips will still dance together on occasion. Alchemy is still going on and we hope that all of you will be able to attend.

I am going to try and dance solo. Last night was my first performance as an "offical" solo artist. It was different, scary, but exhilarating all at the same time.

The flyer that is posted is are still shots from my video that was taken (i.e. the reason for the blurry pictures).

I hope this explains everything.

I'm finally getting around to getting a picture of my newest tattoo. Granted it is about a two months old now. Daniel at All Points did a fantastic job from just me telling him I want a cute tattoo with girlish features. He started by doing the outline, which took about two hours. I kept that for about a month and almost decided (after the pain) that it would look just fine in just black, no filler. Luckily Erik talked me into getting it filled in. So one day - out of the blue - I decided I was ready to get it filled in. Sadly, I had told my friends I would meet them up at Vino's and it took me WAY longer than I had anticipated. Three hours later, she was filled in.... and beautiful, might I add.

My finishing touch is to get a boy skull on the other cuff, and I will have "Sophie and Seymore Bones"... but for right now Sophie is alone.... on the back of my Right calf.

Dan did an awesome job with the color. He was very maticulous about the eye shadow being perfect, and the bow and the eye color match. I love her and she's awesome.

Kidding - just kidding...

I'm back home and so happy to be back on US soil. While I had a wonderful time and got to meet some great people. Nothing beats being home. Erik met me at the airport with flowers in hand and he was so cute, waiting at the baggage claim looking through the window to see me. Then we went straight to Vino's so I could have me my Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich.... I did miss American food.

I am a bit jet lagged and pretty flippin' tired today. But I wanted to say I am here, I made it home ok and I'm going to sleep now :D
I'll post a link for pictures soon. I took over 300 pictures and I have to resize them all .... fun fun fun.

Still in Taiwan

So - there was a glich in the system and I had to re-join. I am still alive, and still in Taiwan. Still missing my husband very much (and my friends). I am very busy traveling and teach and as much as I enjoy it over here, I am so ready to come home.

It has rained for the past week, and I have been accused of bringing the rain over from the US by some of my students. The show was last night and it went well. The mayor and former mayor's wife's came to the show and sat right up front in VIP. I did two numbers, the second being my fire performance. They didn't have "lamp oil" which is what I am used to using - so I used Kerosene and it only burned for about 1/2 of the song (which sucked) but they loved it all the same. During one of my performances everytime I turned to this one side of the audience they would start clapping... it was strange, but cool. Then about 100 pictures later (after the show) I was off to eat, and then sleep - since I had to teach again today.

I have an off day tomorrow, and then I teach again on Tuesday and then I get to come home to my baby.... (Erik - I love and miss you).

Hugs to all,
H.Wolfe

Oh and add me as a friend now.....
