As many of you know Noel hit Cape Cod hard.

Much of the Cape lost power, phone service, and cable.

My house was one of those. We got power and phone service back befor most - it was only out for about 10 or 12 hours. Cable was a much longer wait.

Football fans of course were upset that they had to miss the Pats game.

On the other hand I was suffering from webis interuptus.

One of the delights of our modern age is when you call for customer service the person you are speaking to is probably not any place near you.

When calling Comcast to get an update on when I could expect to get service back I was informed that - "we have no reports of service disruptions in that area."

"What about the storm?" I asked.

"What storm?" was the reply.

Ah technology.

So in the end we were lucky. A couple of trees are gone. No deaths or serious injuries reported on the Cape so far. And those folks who keep saying - "these things always miss the Cape" now have something to think about.

And winter is still on the horizon.
