(It's been a long time since I've posted about the cave that I found in the hills behind Pasedena. I've conducted numerous expeditions since my last post and It's taken me a while to put together my notes.)

So, I went back to the cave yesterday. I had a little trouble finding it as someone had removed the cairn I put up. It wasn't just knocked over, but the stones had been completely removed, plus fresh cut brush had been used to cover up the Cave's mouth.

Something very wonderful happened to me last weekend while hiking in the San Gabriel Mountains: I found a natural cave on the backside of JPL's campus near Pasedena.

I've done a lot of hiking in Southern California but, because of the geology of the mountains down here, I seldom found any spelunking opportunities. So here's the plan for the 12 Burning Men of Christmas: It will be a 12-foot tall, three sided obelisk-like pyramid. The base will be 3-foot wide and each side will feature 4 Burning Man figures of descending size standing atop each other.
