Yet Another Setback
Mon, July 30, 2007 - 8:58 AMThe current chemotherapy isn't working after all. I got a call from my doctor's office today and the nurse told me that my bloodwork indicated that the chemo isn't doing the job. This means that I will be switching chemotherapies right before Burning Man...in the next week or so.
I will be more tired, more nauseous and my hair will fall out again.
I'm scared and starting to feel like crawling into a little corner. I apologize in advance to all of you folks out there for not replying to emails, phone calls and text messages. I do sincerely appreciate your support and love...just sometimes I don't want to drag others down with me.
Also, I may not be able to work and I'm not sure how much more short-term disability my job offers, so I may have to start some kind of "help Kaihea pay her medical bills" foundation or something. Keep on the look-out for more info, if you're inclined to assist. I might be selling some Melodia pants to sweeten the deal...*gasp*...

cool, I'm getting one of my favorite canvases back. I loved painting on your head before and I look forward to doing for you again! Hmmm. . . I'm having wonderful ideas for a Flights of Fire fundraiser show already. Just say the word and I'll make it happen. Oh and let me make this clear, talking to you does NOT bring us down. We get down because we love you and we don't want you to suffer like this. Talking to you when you want our support is one teeny tiny little thing we can do to try to help you through this.
