To my extended Tribe friends and family!

I am running the Mayors Marathon in Alaska this year to raise funds for "The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society", and to honor my dad who lost his battle to blood cancer a few years ago.

This is a big goal for me as I have never been a dedicated runner. To reach my goal I am sticking to a strict 5 day/week training schedule.

In addition to my running goal I am hoping to raise at least $4,000 by April for the Leukemia research. Its an ambitious goal but with your help I can do it.

With that said, I'm asking for a contribute of $50 (or $2 per mile), but hope that you will have a larger amount in mind for such an undertaking. Also please check with your employer to see if they offer a matching program for any contributions you make.

All contributions are 100% tax-deductible and at least 75% of that money goes directly towards Leukemia research, which is considered to be the best place to start on the road to finding a cure to all kinds of cancer.
