We met in the aisle of Rainbow Foods, in SF, and spent the next hours doing energy work. We were instant brothers, as barriers melted and frequencies raised.
A week later (2?), we were driving to BM (my first) together, and he remained open to guidance to a degree of vulnerability that was nothing short of remarkable.
Some time later, he invites me to the Dreamlodge (yup, the famous Dreeamlodge), via the arrival of a friend of his (you go, Will!) who called me one night and asked if I wanted to come up to Shasta with him....the next day.
Co-creating a freidnship with Kaiya necesarily means your life will take on a whole new dimension of growth, of truth, of love, of spirit and courage, of rage and breakthroughs, of stepping into the deepest most impassioned expression of yourself....the friendship you sometimes want to leave..and never will...
And then...he calls on you...soft and fragile....concerned and struggling with his own depths and you see his eyes and it calls forth your best; your most courageous and most compassionate......and you know you'll plunge your own bliss and shadow to find the words he needs........
You can see within him and everything he does both the hope and the hurt of the globe beneath us.
Kaiya is my instant brother who pushes me; warrior to warrior; shoulder to shoulder and side by side; the only escape from him calling forth your own ecstatic, divine glory is to walk away......and there would be no greater loss
We all call for a soul in our lives who only accepts our rawest truth and always and only speaks to that..demandingly...fiercely.....joyously.....that friend whom we sometimes fear for the boundaries we know they will call us to push past.......because we accept this invitation to shine like we can only shine when one who knows us...knows us....demands nothing less with the grandest of smiles.
He heals like the child who speaks truth..cut-to-the bone truth and drives us to act through our highest integrity...laughing and skipping and roaring all the way......home

This man is an enigma, and I say that with no hesitance or over-exaggeration. From the moment we met, it was clear that he has given much of his life to matters of the heart, matters of spirit, and subtleties most don't have the patience or integrity to navigate. In his journey from Daniel to Kaiya, he has undertaken challenges that would squish most men, and brought the richness of his triumphs seemlessly into the lives of those he touches, including myself. I cannot count the number of times I've been blessed by his simple and humble offerings. He travels the world with a gentle presence, yet has the ability to transform lives, and the insight to change whatever corner of the world he inhabits. He truly loves all beings. He truly loves the earth. He is separate from neither, and this is his powerful gift of love.

Simple words can not express the amount of love and jot that are exuding from this divine reflection. Kaiya and I met @ DreamLodge when I came to be in residence. We have had some very powerful conversations. I honor the way he challenges me in the most loving way. I love the light that shines from him like beams from the sun when he is in his joy. He is my brother. And I love him. I love the way he dances around when he is happy. I love his creative mind. I love the boy band. I love the way his laughter spreads from his heart to touch your own. I can not help but smile when I think about him. It is an honor to know and to love him. I am grateful.
Kaiya, thank you for the works you do in the world. it wouldn't be the same with out you.

If you're familiar with Jung's story of the rainmaker--how a single person existing in the Tao may bring rain to an entire region in drought--then you have some metaphor for Kaiya's catalysing loving power. Wow enough--but he's fantastic for true adventure and potent conversation to boot!

If you meditate on it, you'll realize that this distribution, this 'tuning' of the chakras leaves a red root, and a 'yellow' heart.

I pray with both of them, meaning I'll chant the chorus, and flow out the words inbetween. thus each time I pray is different, but has the common anchor.
I'm usually suprised people don't 'get' how deep and difficult it is to do this. But its so much fun, and so true and liberating, I keep going anyway : )

I recently resolved an old drive to flow with music by choosing to record some every moon cycle and post in rhythm with the Moon.
Its not a song really, its a Lfow. I use the Chorus to center and focus the prayer, and let spirit sing through my heart.

I feel the need to be clearer.
I don't want to embody what I'm criticizing here, and at the same time Its important for me to assert this.
I find the 'break the ego down for you' approach to be very abusive. It is designed specifically to 'wash' people clear, so they can take in the energy of a guru. this presumes that they are filthy as they are, and only the teacher can clean them, and that this person is the best one to fill them back up because they are more divine.

I find that at a certain point in my 'evolution' I passed my teachers... and found children speaking the truths I needed to hear, or the checkout clerk... or a sign post had the words that spoke into my thoughts, and I found my eyes focusing on them without real-eyesing why.

I want to assert the twelve chakra set within this seven model. I first found it in 'The ancient secret of the flower of life'. He just puts it out there... and then moves on to other ideas. he says the two sets do not work together. I believe they can... with a minor shift.
how do they fit together? well the same way music does.

Say we have a challenge in the 'second' chakra...
Well its balance is the nose tip (which can be simplified down to 'guidance'), and we can add the lungs ('creative love' in my experience), or the heart, to create major and minor chords respectively.
So if we are feeilng blocked in experessing love.. we can tune to the major chord of the pelvis, where the nosetipe balances our intimacy.. we surrender to guidance on HOW to feel balanced intimately, and then we create a way of loving that...

Yesterday we shared a sweat lodge. I carried the stones, and walked barefoot in the snow.
Now this is ultimately not that big a deal I suppose. You stand there and feel the 'cold' and keep saying 'this is just energy this is just energy' and if the commitment is pure... it seems... Today I practiced blindfolded.
Twas amazing to receive the extra perspective on my body, to recognize how often I actually do use my eyes to maintain alignment and balance.... to have to trust my feelings first.
There were several thresholds to go through. Times when my mind actually threw a fit insisting it needed to see.

Two days ago we were driving through rural, northern, Florida. We stopped at a gas station for a rest, and low and behold, there was a little stand selling homeade products, nuts, cidars, and a little old women in rocking chairs. It was lovely.
As we tasted various things to sell, we chatted, and it was nice to take the opportunity to be a little more real, share actual feelings, be happy.

I have somewhat dissapeared from the Internet... it has been good.

I can read with my right eye. the book has to be exactly one pointer finger away. cool, I just figured that distance out.
My left eye sees the same words, at the same distance, as waves. some letter are bigger, and some smaller, some split, just like they are drawn on a wavy surface.
The doctor told me my eyes are almost the same.
I felt my attention drawn to a little... berry on a tree outside. When I gaze at it through my right eye, it is red. Through my left it is violet.

The preset 'civilization has deep roots in the Middle East.

My uncle lives in New Orleans. He's a party animal. My father was a choir boy, literally, he grew up in St Thomas Cathedral, NYC, singing.

There are many different ways to understand the Chakras. This is the one that is coming through for me, it is a radical opening of possibilities.
