Front Row...

The following was found on the blog of a beautiful dancer named Amirah Bey, she kindly gave me permission to post it on my blog.

The message is profound!!! Thank you Amirah for sharing!!!

"Everyone Can't Be In Your Front Row.... "

Life is a theater - invite your audience carefully. Not everyone is
spiritually healthy and mature enough to have a front row seat in our
lives. There are some people in your life that need to be loved from a
distance.

It's amazing what you can accomplish when you let go, or at least
minimize your time with draining negative, incompatible,
not-going-anywhere relationships/friendships/fellowships!

Observe the relationships around you. Pay attention to: Which ones lift
and which ones lean? Which ones encourage and which ones discourage?
Which ones are on a path of growth uphill and which ones are going
downhill?

When you leave certain people, do you feel better or feel worse? Which
ones always have drama or don't really understand, know and appreciate
you and the gift that lies within you? When you seek growth, peace of
mind, love, and truth, the easier it will become for you to decide who
gets to sit in the FRONT ROW and who should be moved to the balcony of
your life.

You cannot change the people around you...but you can change the people
you are around! Pray for godly wisdom and discernment and choose wisely
the people who sit in the front row of your life.

Purple Dreads!!!

As I have already stated, I am not a blogger, but I couldn't help blogging about a company from which I've recently bought dreadlocks! And let me say right up front--I have absolutely NO affiliation with this company! It “One Stop Hair”, a UK based company.

When we're not wearing full turbans, my troupe wears ethnic or "tribal" hair pieces, which we sometimes enhance with yarn, shells, etc. With all the hair we buy, we have dealt with quite a few vendors and always with very good results. But recently we’ve dealt with a vendor that is exceptional! The company, “OneStopHair”, is a UK based company.

Presently my troupe has ordered 10 dreadlock ponytails from them (and have plans to order more!). We have had excellent service. Their prices are super reasonable—your credit card will convert those pounds to dollars! Shipping and Handling is reasonable for overseas—and we usually get our order in about four days (sometimes less!). Their merchandise is top quality and their professionalism as a company has been amazing!

And it is the professionalism of the company that has me doing what I never do—blogging! The first time I tried placing an online order with them, I accidentally sent a double order. They contacted me to see if the double order had been a mistake!

The most recent thing to happen was that I was sent the wrong item. I had ordered dreadlock ponytail on a drawstring and I was sent one with a clip. Instead of contacting “OneStopHair” and making arrangements to return the ponytail, I tried to see if it was a drawstring placed on a clip. In my efforts to remove the clip, I broke the clip! And to make matters worse, it turned out that it was not a drawstring placed on a clip like some of the others I’d seen. So now I had a useless hunk of hair!

When I emailed “OneStopHair” to tell them about the mistake in my order, I also told them that I’d broken the clip and could not even return the ponytail for an exchange. Imagine my surprise when “OneStopHair” wrote back and apologize about the mistake and said that they would send me a complimentary drawstring ponytail!!! Now keep in mind, I’d accidentally broken the clip from the one I had and couldn’t even return it, yet they were apologizing and sending me another ponytail free!!! I was and continue to be awed by their professionalism and their generosity. I think this company needs to be known as a “belly dancer friendly” vendor!!!

As you can see by the pic on this blog the dreads are quality hair! I have another back view picture in my tribe profile/photos. They have “normal” hair colors as well, but the purple dreads were too awesome to pass up!!! Just in case you want to place an order: www.1stophair.com/catalog/
