Kamar is not only a very talented dancer but also a very genuine person. Every time I run into Kamar at an event, I am always warmly greeted by her. Dan, her husband, is also a "peach." Sometimes with a couple you tend to like one more than the other but both of them are equally likable.

Coffee Haven is a little coffee house located in Downtown Long Beach CA. Most every Sunday night there is a Bellydance Show entitled "Shimmy Showcase". It is a really great place for all levels of Bellydancers to go and shimmy their stuff. I have been performing there for more than 4 years now and it never gets old.

The show is open to family and friends of all ages. Most of the time there is some kind of theme, for instance, Bellydancing to the 60s, Disco, Gothic themes, and all kinds of Fusion. The ambience of the room is reminicent of 60s and 70s Bellydance. Sept. 30th, I was able to perform to live music. Kashmir was the coordinator/hostess for the evening. What a talented super nice person. We danced two 10-15 min shows each . What a night! Everyone in attendace had a great time and so did I. about me
I have been married to my husband, Dan, for almost 38 years. We have two beautiful daughters and 5 wonderful grandchildren. Together, we have a passion for Orientale Dance and the wonderful friends we have made over the span of 31 years in the Bellydance world. I have an Associate in Arts Degree in Fashion Design and use most of my knowledge in the field to designing and creating all styles of Bellydance Costuming. I am the co-founder of Kamar and Jewels of Fire Middle Eastern Orientale Dance Troupe. I am also the Director, Costumer and Choreographer of my Troupe. My husband and I the are owners of Moonlite Fantasy Productions. We have been providing mobile music, sound and lighting to the So. Calif. area since 1980. We specialize in Weddings, Special Occasions, Theatrical and Middle Eastern Bellydance Shows and Competitions.
I have a day job as a Computer Lab Technician and manage the afternoon Lab at the local High School. I have worked for this School district for 30 years. Macintosh computers are my specialty and I know them inside and out. I love this job. In the evenings, you will find me teaching several classes of beginning through advanced level Bellydance (Orientale Dance) in two local cities. I am working feverishly to keep Classical American and Turkish style Bellydance alive and well. Even with this busy schedule, I find two nights a week to study Martial Arts. I am honored to have a Black Belt in Kang Duk Won Kwon Bop and a Black Sash in Tai Shing Pek Kwar Monkey Kung Fu. Together, my husband and I own and operate Moonlite Fantasy Production. This is a mobile DJ business specializing in Weddings, Special Occasions and Performing Arts Productions. We are the provider of the sound and lighting for most of Southern California's Bellydance shows and Competitions.
