I've been meaning to write one of these for awhile now, but what the hell am I supposed to say about a son of a bitch like KK? I've been unfortunate enough to know this fucker in the flesh for several years, and perhaps I'm a masochist, because I've loved every second of it. He will gladly kick any asshole out of your warehouse, share his last beer and smoke, make you laugh when you think nothing in this piece of shit world can, and, that's right dude, I'm blowing your cover: he cuddles like a goddamned hippie. I'll never forget the time he lured a fuckton of hippies with a fake promise of free pizza, in a diabolical scheme to put those lazy fucks to work building a stage. He he. To top it off, I remember seeing him confiscate some of their beer later. As sadistic as I can be, none of these things are what I like most about KK. He has proven himself stronger than most men I've known by allowing himself to be vulnerable to others. It takes mucho cajones to be open about your own shortcomings, fears, and failures. We've both been there to support each other in the face of desperation, hunger, insanity, poverty, and even in the face of death. If you ever attempt to stop being you, KK, I'm going to kick your ass, you old fart!

Can I call you Geode? At first meeting, your tough exterior, your 6 am Cat Scratch Fever wake up calls and your ability to savor warm beers had me thinking you were a tough son-of-a-bitch. Then I got to connect and the more I learned the more amazed I became. Under the dusty exterior was this shining, sparkly man with deep thoughts, a deep heart and deep aspirations.

If I can make you snort milk out of your nose with my writings, I'm a happy Man. I'm fiercely protective of me and mine. When not flying with the Military, I work Counter Culture festivals. Burningman is my favorite. From DPW (lived on the ranch 2002-2003), to my current position the last few years as a part of the BRC Airport Management Team. Wherever I go, I love to work, make new friends, and bum warm beers while blasting 'Cat Scratch Fever' at 7:30 AM to help the Ravers get up and enjoy their day while evicting Hippies and I actually get paid for this shit. Here they are... Weldboy stalked a cow. In the neighbors pasture. In platform boots. It didn't work out so well (go figure). The farm manager asked him to stop. I was accused the next day of the same act. Apparently...DPW smells like DPW. Later...Weldboy convinced some Virgin Burners that I was his father and Chase(founder of TLA/DPW) was his son. A new friend addition just before I left for Interfuse. There were (and are) a lot of things that I want to write about. The last two weeks kicked ass on several levels. But... A lady in a cubicle in NYC reminded me of why I do what I do. PM's, Blogs, and phone calls. She took the time to write a letter thanking me for sharing. I knew that I needed to stay a few days afterwards. Funny. By Sunday, I was ready for everyone to leave. On Monday, I was torn. Some were hard to say goodbye to. By Monday night, I got my wish.
