I love you. It's that plain and simple. Your path is yours and you own it... always. Even when you seem to be questioning it... you know who, what, when, where, and why you are. That is a truly amazing thing my friend and I am full of gratitude to have been able to cross paths with you.
To many more crossroads where we will meet. XOXOXOXO Nova April 29, 2009
I've never been in the armed forces; never been in a war. But when I run into KK, it feels like how it must feel to run into a brother in arms. We've helped each other through some tight spots. The first time I met Kamikaze was years ago at Dreamtime. Although shorthanded, we had each others' back and managed a fine festival. Been annoying each other ever since.

Well KK is kind of like me in a wierd and vague sense.. he doesnt have a bridge to live under, and neither do I. He likes Bob Seger and so do I. He is honest and loving and doesn't like hippies, so we remain sheltered friends. Lovingly Plokk Drainbo Hippy Troll in search of a bridge.

I know as a fact that the effect of Kamikaze Kelly on my life was to give me appreciation of that wonderful thing called 'community'. It's something I took home with me the first time I read KK's blogs, and investigated it to my satisfaction. There's something humble, honest, and open about it that the man expresses every time he sits down to write.
There's good people and bad people in the world. I know in my heart that Kelly is one of the finest individuals that I know. His American Dream proves to me that there are, indeed, still good people today in the US. It ain't just a dream. People who work hard, play hard, live hard, and enjoy the freedoms that allow Burningman to happen. Despite his assertion that his project is finished, it lives on in the man himself. Kelly, you friggin' hippy. I know you've never let me down with false promises or assertions. I'm proud, honored, and humbled to call you my friend. You are, sir, an American Dream all your own. reply to this post August 13, 2008
Kamikaze cares enough about the Burn community to troll people online who he sees as violating its principles. For real.

about me
I tend to take things over the top. My sense of humor is...well, let's just say that my favorite line from a movie is from 'Full Metal Jacket' when the FNG asks the Gunner in the door of the Huey "How can you shoot Women and Children?!" drum roll, please..."It's Easy! You just don't lead them as much!!”
If I can make you snort milk out of your nose with my writings, I'm a happy Man. I'm fiercely protective of me and mine. When not flying with the Military, I work Counter Culture festivals. Burningman is my favorite. From DPW (lived on the ranch 2002-2003), to a few years as a part of the BRC Airport Management Team, and currently active in Regionals. Wherever I go, I love to work, make new friends, and bum warm beers while blasting 'Cat Scratch Fever' at 7:30 AM to help the Ravers get up and enjoy their day while evicting Hippies and I actually get paid for this shit. I've got the best job on or off the Playa! Whatever You are for...I'm against!!! KK ps I reserve the right to change my mind daily...

I get up at 5:30 post super bowl to go to my shop. 06:45-07:15 nobody there, doors locked. Wait...let me back up a bit. Last week I was making plans to visit the St. Louis Burners this weekend. On Thursday, I find out that although I am on Active Duty Orders through Sept. Mon-Fri 0630-1530, I am still required to show up for the traditional Reservist UTA (the one weekend a month training assembly). So I had to suit up/show up and essentially sit around not getting the usual dou... read more
Yet another epic party at Pish's house. Quality time with Aldric, Zay, Quack, and others. Miss Denise wasn't loking good, but I held her while she cried. The other Neighbor beat me at chess again. I feel asleep in my old room smiling to the sounds of many fiends partying through the night.

That's an Order! KK
I've been in this apartment less than a week, and already the thought of spending the weekend in this lit/heated/secure space gives me the Heebie Geebies!

I'm tempted to drive to the site of the MidWest Burn unannounced and say "Hey Rose! Got any work?! I wanna drive the tractor!!" or Seth's spread outside Columbia and say "Hey, Seth! Lets shoot guns!" I don't feel like striking out for Kansas City or Saint Louis, many friends in both but I'm just not in a big city mood. Ah well...I'll f... read more
