KK is such a breath of fresh air. We all become busy in our lives & neglect the ones around us, but not this one. He knows what is important & makes the EFFORT. The world is a better place with him...Frank

TWO THOUSAND FRIENDS! well hell no wonder ya don't remember I wrote a testimonial for ya.. but just to make sure ya KNOW and REMEMBER this time... let me just say this...............
FUCK YER DAY.......... thats all.. ok, I lied, its not all. but it would take a fucking book to write all the reason I think youre awesome. beginning with the fact you put your ass on the line and share your truths even when they arent pretty you are one person that I KNOW I can trust to say it as it is without blowin smoke up my ass and teelin me its smoke signals. I KNOW YOU... I know your heart.... I know your spirit. and I KNOW you are one of the most real people I have ever met. even with the chinks in your armor you still expose enough of you that I can peak inside and see a really good Human being.... a MAN I not only think of as a FRIEND, but closer. a lover, well havent had that pleasure, a brother, perhaps so... but truly a MAN.... one of honor even when you battle your demons.. Your strength shows.. You are a true inspiration to those that fight battles everyday. and you do it your way. You trust few, but you love many... and I am HONORED to be one of the ones you Trust and Love Thanks YOU for the years of friendship and laughter and tears and pure real authentic YOU when we finally do cross paths again you owe me a another hug.. and ya dont even have to be on your knees, less of course ya wanna hug me without breakin your back from bending over so far to reach me I LOVE YOU KELLY.... and I have no expectations.. cept for one.. JUST KEEP BEING YOU! no one does it better and no one could even come close to fillin those boots you put on every morning.. stay in touch darlin.... I am always at least a phone call away.... now, take that Irish and make something happen that YOU are proud to call yours... (other than that beautiful daughter of yours) and dont get caught up in shit that isnt gonna feed your soul... you deserve to have a life you can stand back look at and say I did it my way now fuck yer day.... with Love and all that other hippy shit... When I first met you I thought.."what a strange man". Coming from me and the strangest freak around thats the pot calling the kettle black.
Kamikaze is high energy, push ahead don't stop lets see where we land kind of energy. He has a past that he has learned from and never gives up and always try's to be the best person he can be. I admire and respect him. He is a liver of life and I am grateful for him making the world an interesting an better place to be in. Thank you KK. May 5, 2010
I'm one of the recipients of 'Kamikaze inspiration'. Build community with Honor. THAT is the essense of Sgt. John "Kamikaze' Kelly. And it's why I'm proud to call him "friend" and "brother-in-arms".

KK I met on Tribe. He is a fabulous pain in the ass. A good man. Big flirt.
Adorable. He is a good friend of mine. I am lucky to have met him. Says what is on his mind and owns up. Can't get better than that ;-0 May 26, 2009
I love you. It's that plain and simple. Your path is yours and you own it... always. Even when you seem to be questioning it... you know who, what, when, where, and why you are. That is a truly amazing thing my friend and I am full of gratitude to have been able to cross paths with you.
To many more crossroads where we will meet. XOXOXOXO Nova

I tend to take things over the top. My sense of humor is....well, let's just say that my favorite line from a movie is from 'Full Metal Jacket' when the FNG asks the Gunner in the door of the Huey "How can you shoot Women and Children?!" drum roll, please..."It's Easy! You just don't lead them as much!!” If I can make you snort milk out of your nose with my writings, I'm a happy Man. I'm fiercely protective of me and mine. When not fighting with the Military, I work Counter Culture festivals. Burningman is my favorite. From DPW (lived on the ranch 2002-2003), to a few years as a part of the BRC Airport Management Team, and currently active in Regionals. Wherever I go, I love to work, make new friends, and bum warm beers while blasting 'Cat Scratch Fever' at 7:30 AM to help the Ravers get up and enjoy their day while evicting Hippies and I actually get paid for this shit. I've got the best job on or off the Playa! Whatever You are for....I'm against!!! KK ps I reserve the right to change my mind daily...
You are not connected to Kamikaze
want to grow your network?
I try to write every day. That, and phone calls, help with the pain.

So...with your permission...I'd like to tell a story. When I was a young Aviator I saw the usual hazing. Not me. I grew up flying the world and was, I don't know, I guess I was just one of those guy's that you knew wouldn't be fooled easy. But I saw the usual. "Airman Basic Jones! Get me a 2 gallons of Prop Wash!!" and "Stevens! Go to Supply and requisition 3 yards of Flight Line!" So, on one Mission when I was young, bu... read more
Jesus, Mohammad, Moses, and a Burner were sitting in a bathroom taking a shit one day when Jesus reached under the divide and asked "Brother, can you spare a sheet?".

Mohammad shrieked "THIEF!", pulled his sword, and cut off the hand of a son of god. Moses, meanwhile, calmly reached under from the other side and wiped his ass with a portion of Mohammad's robe. The Burner just shook his head, opened his backpack, and pulled out a roll of TP sealed in a Ziplock bag mumbling something that s... read more

This one time, at college, (CSUS) I foolishly took Philosophy 101 and 102 the same Semester. From Plato to Kant. Nietzsche to St. Augustine. Backwards and forwards through a history of thought. When the dreaded 'Blue Books' were due end of course, I had spread around me in discordant mounds many books from ages past. I aced both classes but...when I was leaving the room at Sacramento State, the Prof... read more

My head is killing me. I dropped the neural blocker from 1,800 mg to 300 on the way to outta here. I hated feeling stoned. Pain is an old and trusted friend. I know most of Y'all will be busy living life and out this weekend.. Just wanted to connect before you head out the door. Nothing 'Life Affirming' like most of my stories. Just a poem? I wrote recently... "There is a curve to pain. It's not as attractive as the curve of a woman's back. The smoot... read more
I intended to write today about classical music. As I write this, I am listening to Beethoven, Symphony 7, Allegretto, mvt 2 (www.youtube.com/watch which was effectively used, IMO, at the end of the movie 'Knowing'.

THE SECOND COMING Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity. Surely some revelation is at hand; Surely the Second C... read more

As to my status in the Burningman Community, I fear I have been selfish. My Pride and Ego demand that I am entitled to certain privileges. Early arrival, late exit. Driving my 'Art Car' during the event. Not serving designated shifts. Feeling free to pretty much do anything I want as a self appointed 'Village Elder' and 'Story Teller'. I may be wrong. One of the hardest things I have found in life is to change your self image. To admit fault in yourself. I d... read more
