I woke at 4:10 this morning restless. Took a cuppa to the front porch and processed over a smoke. I don't know what's going on in my head, heart, or soul; but writing helps so here I am.

Y'all don't have to read this as I ramble. I just need to write.

My profile was written on Tribe.net in 2004 and has remained relatively unchanged since then. I was thinking about a rewrite but am leaning towards an addendum/ps. Here is one lame example of a rewrite.

Dogs instinctively like and trust me. Most Humans too.

I have a quirky sense of humor.

I am analytical. I tend to gather information and make the best decision that I can and live with the consequences

BUT

If my gut/spirit/whatever speaks clearly to me...I will make a 'Leap of Faith'.

I prefer to not to discuss Politics or Religion, but I will on occasion.

I am more 'Spiritual' than most, but I hate the Hippie Dippie New Age empty headed crap almost as much as I hate generic ((hugs)).

My Family is awesome. I've met folk on the road who had nobody. That's gotta suck ass!

Speaking of...I am Very, very proud of my Daughter!!!

I am a fierce reader. Sometimes a book a day, but if it's a good one that makes me think, I'll take my time.

Post-Apocalyptic Sci-Fi is my favorite genre but I enjoy most anything well written especially if I learn new things.

I'm something of a 'Luddite'. Fortunately I have many Tech minded friends (What's a 'cell phone'?).

I have broken my body down in service of. I have spent my last dime in support of. I have given to the best of my ability and been richly rewarded in ways most good Americans couldn't comprehend.

I have no regrets. If I had my life to live over I would do exactly the same!

I will not live my Life in fear. That is not negotiable.

If you need me to run Gate at a paying event, you can trust me to collect Thousands of dollars and not pocket so much as a twenty. You can rely on me. That said...I have screwed up in the past. I am human. When that happens, I do my best to make amends and if the injured party refuses to accept, well then...I walk the fuck on.

I am reasonably competent at just about everything except electronics and makeup.

I'm a damn good driver except when I'm drunk.

Aviation is a passion of mine, I am a 20 year Veteran of the USAFR.

When justified, I am capable of standing ground in defense of me and mine, and 'mine' includes many, many people!

I don't like anger. I don't know how far I would go in a 'Red Out'. I've been angry and in fights, but never hurt anyone badly.

I have loved well and been blessed with some damn good women in my life.

In the course of the last 53 years, I have ended up in many Leadership positions without seeking them out. I don't know why, but I tend to be the one folk look to.

I am an effective communicator and moderator. I prefer peacemaking to war.

I sometimes use humor to deflect uncomfortable emotions. When I do so, I am not being honest but sometimes it works.

I believe that we are all connected. Interactions with people are very important to me.

I believe that we can not do this thing called 'Life' alone.

At the end of the day, ultimately, it is up to me. But if you are willing to help, I will graciously accept it.

I am very aware of my Pride and Ego. It's tough for me to ask for help, but I am not too proud to ask for help on occasion.

Did I mention that I am very, very proud of my Daughter?

It's not that I don't like Y'all (well..mostly), but I've got my morning rituals. Read the paper, do the crossword, a cuppa and a smoke, shit shower shave...
