when i first met this young and handsome palawanon in one of my favorite cinema in puerto princesa, palawan city.i knew that the creator gave me one of the most expensive jewel i've ever had in my life.so, for that kanakan balintagos (tribal name)i wanna say thank you for being the best part of my life in showing/brighten up my knowledge in your colorful dreams and worthwith.

i first encountered this passionate tribal being in 99 and shared an unforgetable voyage to his homelands on the island of Palawan. The way his art and his activism merge has taught me powerful lessons about cultural sensitivity and i am ever greatful for them. Through Aureus and his works i have come to see a side of the Philippines i could never have dreamed of making contact with and i will always long to find that place again and pray that it remains intact against the pressures of time for me to do so.
