words to the electric winds

so i had a dream that i named my bus TAZ, gave it away to a group project in which it was spiffed up and taken out to lead the revolution in perception and being with each other in the world... bringing an awareness of Immediate Living to the world at large ... a modern day Acid Test, where we realize that LSD is just an artificial way to reach somewhere where we can get ourselves... and that it is an interesting place to go to!

This play is one of the best pieces of live theater i've seen in a long time, going deep into the history of the american emotional landscape... violence (personal and political), family, race... The Kentucky Cycle (written by Richard Schenkenn) traces the paths of 3 intertwined families over 200 years of American history... i saw part 1 last night and it floored me, not because it is new pieces of history for me, but because they are all in one place and woven together through live bodies on... read more

Today is the 30th anniversary of the death of Steven Biko, dead at the hands of the police -- police trying to stop a man fighting for justice and dignity ... trying to stop a people trying to climb up from under oppression.
