I am a work in progress. The operative word being "work". Up until a couple of years ago I felt like life was just something happening all around me. My life was a constant strugglejust to get by, and for the longest I didn't know why and I felt like a victim. I stopped asking why and just began to really examine my life as it was, and what changes I could make towards the positive. I found out a lot of things, one of them and maybe the one that helped me the most was that life is full of wonder. I began to move towards the life I had always envisioned for myself. One that was full of the Love ,people, and experiences that I need to flourish. The changes I had to make were not easy, but Yoga and Bellydance helped me through the dark times. Along with some really loving support from my family and friends. I've become the woman I always wanted to be, and I am not done yet! I crave new experiences for myself and my partner. My partner in crime, Mandolin has been a blessing from the Universe also, and I consider myself lucky to have his constant love and support. Most of the time I am very happy and enthusiastic, and sometimes obnoxiously positive. If we are already friends, please do stay in touch regularly. There is no question I won't answer, no topic I won't talk about - just try me. I am really trying to be a better person/friend - so please - talk to me. Thanks for reading.
FRIEND POLICY -
Let's definately get to know each other before becoming friends. I value true connections, and don't believe in collecting people as friends. If we've met in person even better!!!

You see, I want a lot.
Perhaps I want everything
the darkness that comes with every infinite fall
and the shivering blaze of every step up.
So many live on and want nothing
and are raised to the rank of prince
by the slippery ease of their light judgments.
But what you love to see are faces
that do work and feel thirst.
You love most of all those who need you
as they need a crowbar or a hoe.
You have not grown old, and it is not too late
to dive into your increasing depths
where life calmly gives out it own secret.
~ Rainer Maria Rilke
I need all of the good energy and positive thoughts you all can muster right now. Our home is broken because my Yoshi is gone. She's missing and I don't know where else to look for her. Please pray for her safety. She is a tiny dog and is really really missed. Please send us your good thoughts - I miss her dearly.
Shes been missing since last Thursday night - 5/29. Last seen on our porch in Elysian Valley - aka Frogtown. Help.

All proceeds from ticket sales at the door on Saturday will go towards helping out the wonderful people at the Mara Conservancy in Africa.

From their website:
The Masai Mara is a National Reserve, not a National Park, which means that it is held in trust for the people and managed by the local county councils, as opposed to the Kenya Wildlife Service.
THEY NEED OUR HELP NOW!!!!!!!
Even if you don't come out to the show I urge you to donate to this cause. Our ...

I am a HUGE fan of Basketball. HUGE. I've been a fan of the Lakers ever since I discovered the sport of watching the sport in high school. It was the 90's and one of the best times to watch the Lakers. The players were amazing, the coaching just magnificent, and I watched with friends during after school practices for Speech and Debate. One year, during the finals I was in Guatemala visiting my family in Peten - the jungle. Me and my cousins (all boys and all basketball freaks) were walking ...

-- written by Max Ehrmann in the 1920s --
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons;
they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bit...

*~ Moondance~*
By Van Morrison
Well, it's a marvelous night for a moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
Neath the cover of october skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
And Im trying to please to the calling
Of your heart-strings that play soft and low
And all the nights magic seems to whisper and hush
And all the soft moonlight seems to shine in your blush
Chorus:
Can I just have one a more moondance with you, my love
Can I just make some more romance with a-you, my love
Well, I wanna make love to you tonight
I can't wait til the morning has come
And I know that the time is just right
And straight into my arms you will run
And when you come my heart will be waiting
To make sure that you're never alone
There and then all my dreams will come true, dear
There and then I will make you my own
And every time I touch you, you just tremble inside
And I know how much you want me that you can't hide
Chorus
Repeat 1st verse
One more moondance with you in the moonlight
On a magic night
La, la, la, la in the moonlight
On a magic night
Cant I just have one more dance with you my love

What a gorgeous dancer/woman I saw her dance for the first time in AZ 2007 at Esther Genglers show. She was dancing with beautiful sky blue Fan Veils! She transported me to a Beauteaus realm of existence seperate yet here for the brevity of her performnce. I can go there anytime I think of her! Thanks Kashmir for sharing your gift!

when she dances in my minds eye, I see whirling gold and scarlet, hear tinkling and laughter, smell flowers and taste dark red wine
she never ever fails to make me smile, even when we're sharing tears too

I was fortunate to meet Kashmir here on tribe. We've been online friends for a while now. Even though we have never met, this woman has been here with all her love and support through some pretty rotton times in my life. Always so caring and supportive, and most wise in her advice. She's always sending the warmest vibes, and as sincere as anyone I have ever known. I have come to learn that she is a very giving woman. Always ready to offer a kind word, a helping hand, or anything elce she can. Her heart is big, and she definately shares the love. I can't express how truly unique and special Kashmir is. Everyone should be lucky enough to have her as a friend.
Girl, you're a very special person. You've been a tremendous inspiration to me, and I truly value our friendship. Thankyou for letting me into your life, and for being the most amazing woman that you are.
Much love and hugs, Zarina
