about me
I started studying the Rak Sharqi art form at Sirrom School of Dance in 2001 and have loved every minute. I am told that I bring fun and excitement to the stage. I also receive many thank you's from my students on the detail analysis of how the movements are created. I feel so privileged to pass on my knowledge as an instructor at the school that showed me this great art form. My dance mom Shakira Massood Ali shared her knowledge with me and I feel it is only right to continue passing on that knowledge to my students. I can perform as a soloist or with my troupe that I direct, Khazana. Past troupes I have performed with are Solange Dance Company, Miltonio & Da Glitter, and Tribal Glitter. For nearly a year I was one of the principal dancers at Alexander the Great Greek and prior to that I was one of the principal dancers at Kairo Café. I have also performed at the Houston Music Hall, Helios/Avant Garden, Yanni's, The Sands, Luxor, Russian Bear, Mykonos, Olympia, Magic Island, Texas Renaissance Festival, Houston International Festival, Houston Club, Weddings, Birthdays, Reunions, several Multi-Cultural festivals, Parades, and many other events throughout Houston, the great state of Texas and the nation.

Well I just arrived in Florida and I have already starting meeting the wonderful other dancers and Aziza just dropped in as well. Of course I had about 5 dancers gabing in my room just now. We are already trying to pick a night for a wine party so we can drink the wine Andrea left each of us. Can't wait for 2pm to come. It is so beautiful here. I know I am going to get my butt kicked but it will be worth it. Gonna be a long day though as I have been up since 4:15am.
