...Ascension is a paradox. If we remain attached to this life, we negate our chance to ascend. Yet, if we live too detached, we risk missing the opportunities to learn the necessary lessons by which we grow toward ascension. Therein lies the crux of the matter. The answer, plain and simple, is to live each day to the fullest; to experience every single thing we can in our bodies, our emotions, our minds and our lives. HOWEVER, we must do so with the understanding that it is all an illusion, a game we play that will some day end. Hence, we must play the game with all our might but be prepared to walk off the field when the buzzer sounds. In this way we remain non-attached (which is really a more precise word than de-tached) while enjoying our lives and living them to the full. If we do that, whether we ascend or not, we will live our lives with no regrets. We should not give up dreams or goals or relationships. But we must strive to not seek our identity within them -- to remember we are something more -- and not allow them to become more important to us than our ultimate spiritual goal or destiny. A challenge, but do-able for the one who is truly committed to the spiritual path. If one lives in the present, s/he will have no fear of the future. Remember this, and turn your eyes back to what you can do today to grow, laugh and live to the fullest.
