What can I say, this utterly fantastic woman has pretty much become my partner in crime over the past six months and you can't ask for better than what she brings to the table. An easy smile and welcoming demeanor from her brought us to be fast friends and I count everyday as a happy one since we met. Wherever she goes a good time seems to follow and I am so glad she is my neighbor in the real world as well as Pennsic. She has a wonderful heart and a mind bent on bettering itself in every way; people should be so lucky to meet someone like her, much less be called her friend as well. Love you doll!

about me
I still can't figure out what I want out of life or what I want to do/be. But I am having fun with each new day and each new person that I meet (or at least trying to).
Currently, I working part-time at NRL and teaching at GMU. Eventually, I would like to become a college professor, teaching student nanotechnology and materials chemistry, with emphasis on transmission electron microscopy. (TRANSLATION - MAJOR GEEK)

"Eleven Tips on Getting More Efficiency Out of Women Employees: There's no longer any question whether transit companies should hire women for jobs formerly held by men. The draft and manpower shortage has settled that point. The important things now are to select the most efficient women available and how to use them to the ... read more
Found out I was a topic at lunch on Tuesday with a number of faculty at GMU, now they are seeing if there is money to hire me as a lecturer for the Spring semester. Boss at NRL is proud of this development and says that I can continue my part-time at NRL (but less time like one day a week or once ever two weeks, to keep up my TEM skills). If I do get hired. It is not a tenure position, but they think that one will be opening in the next year that I can apply for if I wish to stay local to ...

Every couple of days it seems somebody falls apart due to “insensitivity.” The problem has been buzzing around in our headlines for years. We all remember back in January 1999 when a group of Professionally Aggrieved Grievance Professionals came unglued after David Howard, a white aide to Anthony Williams, the black mayor of Washington, D.C., used the word “niggardly” in reference to a budget. It mattered not one iota that the word has absolutely no etymological relationship with “nigger.”...

Perhaps even more important than the struggle of U.S. students to keep pace with their international peers is their failure to keep up in enthusiasm for the subject. At 2004's Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Portland, Ore., the world's pre-eminent precollege science event, Intel chairman Craig Barrett asked China's Education Minister how many students there take part in regional science ... read more
