The first time I met Kate, she got her bum stuck in a chair and rather than be embarassed, she laughed along with us and stayed where she was until we moved on. She's just cool like that. It's been a blast watching her and Nathan (Schmoopies!!) become one of my all-time favorite couple at faire. She is such a burst of happy energy. She still lets me call her 'Schmoopie!' and is always ready with a hug and smile and a kind word. She's a ray of sunshine where ever she goes and I am so glad I know her. =)

I liked Kate from the moment I met her. She's goofy just like me, and she's such a blast to have drinkies with! She's absolutely wonderful and one of my favorite friends I've made this year.

Kate is one of the most delightful people I've met in ages. She's funny, beautiful and, and, as Peter already mentioned, her giggle is infectious. All in all, Kate's a mighty happy addition to my world.

I've had a great couple of weeks at Fair. Working as crew for Paddy West is a lot more work than other gigs have been, but it's terribly rewarding. People come by and want to sit for a minute and relax, and I take advantage of the opportunity by spreading gossip. It's fun knowing what Mr. Lammle is likely to want, and that Mr. Boffin will surely ask to to dinner if you're nice to him, and pity about poor Nancy, and I've had plenty of gin so I can see all those ghosts.
I've spread the gospe...

So it looks like Nathan and I are buying a bungalow in Vallejo. Woohoo! I know, I know, we just moved here, but we'd be nuts not to buy this new place. (It's an old Craftsman like our rental.) This means, however, that we're going to have to break our lease in the wonderful house we live in.
For those of you who haven't seen it, it's a fairly large two-bedroom Craftsman in Vallejo. It has lovely wood floors, a big kitchen (gas stove), a dining room with a built-in, a nice backyard and a gr...

MY LIVER. OW, OW, OW, MY LIVER. Oh, and my dignity. If anyone has seen it, lemme know.
Seriously, though, it was a swell party. I can't believe we raged until dawn. Thanks so much to everyone who came - and thank you so much for all the fabulous housewarming gifties! I don't think we're going to have to buy any wine for months! :)

So I had this super crappy cold last week. It sucked. Early this week I felt way better, so did Nathan. Then he got sick again - he's missed the last day and a half of work. Now I'M sick again. I feel like a truck is parked on my chest, and I'm coughing like a harbor seal.
Chest colds SUCK. I'm absolutely exhaustified from coughing. I know, I know, hot tea with honey. Done and done.
