On this holiday that we share i wanted to let you know how much i appreciate you and your light and am thankful for all the wonderful moments we have shared. You are definitely one of life's amazing gifts.

Across a great drum, a dancer beckoned me. Her eyes shined with playfulness and a welcoming light. Katherine entered my life, set up a cozy corner and made herself at home in my heart. She inspires me and comforts me. She plays well with others. I am blessed and delighted that she wants to continue dancing with me. Katherine always seems to know when to pull out the ball and play. She is aso so freaking brilliant (working on her 2nd Masters degree, mind you!) that she awes me. If I could have a little sister, I'd want Katherine, but I think I'd have to stand in line. I love her.

Katherine is strong, beautiful, resourceful, and the most amazingest costumer ever! I am always bragging to my friends about how talented she is. We were the only kids in high school who rented movies and sewed on Friday nights instead of partying. And look where THAT got us.... :-)

Katherine is a beautiful woman. She has been the most gracious host to me since I've come to California. She took me up to the Renaissance faire last weekend, where I got to meet all of the tribal belly dancers, wear a costume, and even help her out with a science experiment! Her cat Squeeky is helping me with understanding cross-species communication. I am so excited to spend the year getting to know this amazing woman better.
