</a>
										<div>Im looking for an intern or two. This will be an unpaid gig to start. If you can get up to speed and show me that you mean business, it could turn into a paid gig. In exchange for slave labor, I will buy you lunch, force you to hone your skills, give you some industry dirt, and stuff they dont teach you in school. Sometimes college credit can be arranged. Send me a message and I'll get back to you asap.

I know some of you have expressed interest in the past, but I just cant find the messages anymore! So if you have an interest, please let me know. I'll need to see examples of your work.
Thanks!</div>

										<div>
I will not knowingly ever try to copy another designer's creation for any type of production.
I will not make a knock off of someone else's design and post online that I will custom re-create this design for you.
I will do my homework before launching a design to make sure that I am not copying someone.

You can come to me with a request and I may or may not make it for you, but it wont end up looking like a carbon copy of someone else' design anyway as I cant help but throw something of myself in the mix. And thats completely different from piracy...........

Captain Hook, Anne Bonny, Jack Sparrow pirates are very fun in theory, but reality is very hurtful, very dirty, highly immoral, and not nearly so glamorous.

    </a>
										<div>Last night, I looked up and it was 10 pm and I had told people that I was going down to Amnesia to meet up for a drink. By then, I was all engrossed in a project that was taking all my concentration - basicly taking apart someone's pantaloons that they have been waiting for and rearranging the ruffles. A time waster for me, but thats what I do sometimes. So I was cursing at myself for bad time management and for once again saying I was going to do something that I could not.

Then I looked over at my sewing machine and the threads had formed a heart. I didnt do this - or at least I didnt do it with conscious intention. So I had to laugh. If Im making things from love, then some things just have to suffer. I guess it could be worse.

    </a>
										<div>I am officially on the hunt for a new live/work space-apartment-home-warehouse-cottage. Somewhere where I can roll out of bed and have my coffee and get to work without waiting and wasting time and money on transportation. Somewhere that I can prepare meals and take a nap if I need to. A place where I dont feel that I am in anyone's way. A place where things get fixed and I can have an oven and bake and have friends over when I want. A place where my son and friends can stay for a while if they need or want to. A place where I can hang out with my cat when I want to. A place that I can stay at for a long, long time. A place that I can decorate and feel proud of. A place where I can work all night when I need to and then crawl into bed without worrying about making too much noise. A place devoid of cockroaches and extreme tobacco smoke.
A place with light and love. The love part would be great. A place where I can relax and my friends and clients feel relaxed. Maybe a patch of ground to plant things. I need to get away from my current situation soon. It was always just temporary. I never fitted in. I need a Home.

I dont mind sharing with the right person/people. I dont mind living alone. I cant afford a yuppie kennel "artists loft". I dont need to stay in the City. I cant pay a princes' ransom - I refuse to - I like to buy shoes now and then.

Ive had enough of depressed people around me. Im not desperate, but Id like new digs by February or early spring and if anyone knows of something that might work out for me - or if you are mature, clean, have a good sense of humor, an income, can keep your mental illnesses to yourself, and are looking for someone to share with, lets talk!

Fingers crossed

A lot of things have died, a lot of babies have been born. Maybe its just strong for me personally this year and not the same for everyone else? Well, I know thats not true...........

My friend Moona is getting her business back up after taking a little havingababyhiatus and shes got lots of spooky stuff up for sale! No one, but NO ONE does Halloween like Moonalisa!

A Little Sumpin Sumpin Of Mine On Project Runway......Dats Right.

    </a>
										<div>

I cant say much, but something Ive made will be worn on Project Runway this week!
This will be pretty exciting for me as Ive never actually seen the garment on a person before! So it will be extra fun to see it on the old tv!

Yee Hawww!

So this week on Project Runway will be about Drag Queen Elite and the challenge will be about dressing them......and Ru Paul is Guest Judge. I would KILL for that challenge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It will be the only episode that I will be watching this season as it has been a big snooze for me so far. Im spoiled. Last season had real talent and everyone did their best to get along. And while there were complaints about how uber professional they all were and how that wasnt fair to anyone else........well.........out of all the thousands of talent that auditioned for this season in this here United States Of Amerika, this is what they came up with?

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Ok. Maybe that was mean. I'd be ripped to shreds on that show!!!!!!!

Thats all I can say. For those who are interested and who can, watch Project Runway this week - Wednesday the 20th of August! You will be entertained if nothing else!</div>

The Good Old Days

<div>I Stole this from Zarina's blog. It reminded me of how much has changed in the last few years.

For Those Born Before 1980

TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED the 1930's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's!!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking.

As infants &amp; children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, booster seats, seat belts or air bags.

Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat.

We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.

We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank Kool-aid made with sugar, but we weren't overweight because,

WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K.!

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's, no surround-sound or CD's, no cell phones, no personal computers, no Internet or chat rooms.......

WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents.

We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.

We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them!

Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever!

The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL!

If YOU are one of them.....CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives for our own good .

While you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave (and lucky) their parents were.

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it?!
