Leave it to the Oui-Paris to catapult the Tibetan/Darfurian plight-for-peace protests to mass awareness by successfully extinguishing the “mother torch” during the 2008 Beijing Olympics torch run in France today. This bravado finally escalated the level of news attention to be covered even by Al Jazeera, and instigated the subsequent counter-release of official statements from the IOC. Ah, activism in action! Though conflicting news sources lay the blame (rather, success!) on street protesters, riot cops, or journalists, it doesn’t really matter who gets the credit, the gist being that OUR VOICE IS HEARD!

Props also, to San Francisco Reps for spidermanning atop the Golden Gate Bridge to proudly display an infused flag of “Free Tibet” under the Olympic slogan “One-World One-Dream.” Plus, the “March to Tibet” concert in honor of said plight-for-peace. Plus-plus, the pre-rallies already cooking up for when the “mother torch” comes through your own terra firma.

Know that there are lovely souls in Seattle joining in this world-tree dance and extend hands and hearts to this song of global uprising for peace, CALLING TO ALL FOR GLOBAL HUMANE RIGHTS VIA NON-VIOLENT PROTEST!

O’ how this mass euphoria of peoples coming together for a common cause gives me resonating shivers of parallel echoes of the historical 1969 revolutions across the globe. So much is possible; nature sets no limits! Let us learn from our ancestors and know that change is inevitable, so might as well act now and peacefully take it by the reins and give it back to the people!
