I only know Kat as electrons and photons but she exudes a presence and warmth that is three dimensional. Charm, style wit, and sex appeal? Yeah, she has that too. But don't tell her I said that. She gets a lot of that and we wouldn't want it going to her head, would we? There are a handful of people I've met here that keep me coming back. Kat is one of them.

Some time ago, I was asked to write a testimonial for Kat. I hadn't met her yet, though, so I waited till she visited the West Coast. I kept waiting...and waiting...and waiting.... ;) OH!!! Peoples, the wait only made our meeting ever the sweeter and more fulfilling!!! Everything righteous thing you may feel for Kat online, and you'll be graced by it 10 times over in her actual presence!!!!

All of the things that I thought Kat was, all of the warmth that I felt for her, all of the respect that I held, everything, blossomed like a rose once we finally met this week. She is kind, she is understanding, she is FUN, she is artistic, she knows how I feel (hell, she can read my mind, sometimes!), she's brilliant, she's witty, and she's a freaking superhero. She brings tears to my eyes, and a smile to my lips...sometimes all at once...and I am so, so happy to know her. I hope that we will be sisters for the rest of our lives. I love this woman. Seriously. She *is* the bomb.

I know people expect me to make a joke about everything and I will admit that 99% of my comments end with a ;) or a cheeky grin but now is time to be serious.
Kat is an amazing woman, the phrase 'heart of gold' was especially created for her. She is warm, kind, gentle and, most of all, a valued friend. Oh, and she has this great ass ;) March 12, 2007

Doth Kat know how amazing, smart, beautiful, and what a precious human being she is? I sure hope so. I am proud to know her in cyber space and hope to share pie with her at some point in the future... she is such a devoted Pie worshipper.

I first met Kat when she was my instructor for FBI Sniper School in Quantico, Virginia. With the foul mouth and rough demeanor that attested to her history with the 75th Ranger Regiment, she was every inch the sort of woman I knew could be trusted with a bézier curve under the tightest of deadlines and whom would negotiate as many layers as needed, however opaque, lock or nested they may be. She is a woman of taste and class and distinction, and I only wish that she had let Tom down easier than she did so that things had not turned out so poorly for the young Ms. Holmes as he tried to clear the body thetans that she left him. Her profound charisma has doubtless haunted many a man.

Long aware of Qat, we became aquainted by a pained stab in the dark. Looking at myself, over time, instead I stirred something. And there she is, still stirring. Stirring the pot. Kat is one of the sweetest, kindest, most loyal friends a girl could ever want! She totally rocks. She is always open to new ideas, new friends and new experiences. She’s also a great mom who would do anything for her kids. She is always learning, growing and sharing that with her friends. Got Kat? If not, get her!

Kat is one of the bright, shiny objects that draw me, again and again, back to Tribe. We've never actually met, but I just know that if we did, we'd fall immediately into hours and hours of warm, wonderful, and passionate discourse. She loves art and music, has known intense passion and sorrow, is aware of the fact that posting is a trot, and is equal parts sweet as sugar and snarky as sin...she's my kind of girl. Best of all, she's willing to share a slice of her life with a bunch of possibly psycho online strangers, like me, and I adore her for it. She makes me want to know her, and I hope that someday I'll get the chance. I'm proud to be a card-carrying Kommando : ).

Kat is one of the kindest people I've ever met. Keenly sensitive & warm-hearted. What I like most about her is that when she smiles or laughs it's completely genuine & from the heart. That's a rare thing in a world full of social-climbing flattery, navel-gazing narcissism, self-aggrandizing bullshit, & cloying false sincerity. I'm glad to know her.

Kat is smart and artistic. The smartness runs deep and can be full of insights and wry, unexpected twists.
The artistic side is based on the exquisite fine taste of a beautifully deckled 35 lb Latin dictionary bound in properly sewn signatures mixed equally with the mocking, cartoonish bad taste of a carved pumpkin vomiting its innards. These two forces exist together, as one. They contradicting each other to the casual observer, but to the student of the glass bead game, they unite profoundly, becoming Truth. But I digress . . . Every day the shuffled from the bedroom -- where they still slept in a double bed for morning cuddle sessions -- out to the living room and took up residence in their chairs for the day. Food was eaten there on tray tables. The TV was always on to CNN, and manner of SPORTS!!, all the Sunday politics programs and at night, Katie Couric followed by Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune. Of course they always read the paper, The New Yorker and had a book going, too for the quiet moments. Mom did the ... read more  She just could not live without "her boy." So she checked out exactly ten days after dad died and just less than a week after his funeral. Theirs was a love story for the ages having met on the beach as children playing in the surf, to their dying days in their home overlooking that same beach. With Dad dying on Dec. 23 and Mom on Jan. 2, the holidays will always be special time for remembering and toasting to their wonderful lives. Good-bye Mom and Dad. Be free .  Duty calls for this dutiful daughter. I'll be away for almost a week to take care of mom and dad while he undergoes surgery for a malignant tumor. They're both so old and frail. Mom and I are very concerned about him undergoing surgery at his age so we're gonna hold each other up during this stressful time. I'm pretty sure there's internet access, so I'll be online from time to time. So carry on and I'll be back in a week. .  Sleeplessness so sucks. I wonder what percent of Tribers are insomniacs. Let's try a little poll here with my friends and any interlopers and onlookers. Do you experience insomnia? If yes, how often and what do you do to remedy it?
