memories of distant lands and magical adventures find me ripe for a dreamy afternoon tea...

dark clouds house fiery storms.
flocks of sheep
herded into the factory
to be sheared
naked.
sounds
of a thousand electric razors,
and screaming beasts
pierce the air.
they shall not be
silenced.
wool sweeps up to the
hot lights...
smell of burning flesh.
skinny, wrinkly skinned,
shivering,
they crowd
in the bare, cemented yard.
hooves beat out a rhythm
drowned out
by thunder.

soooooo....
the trees are budding, the sun has returned and does not set until after 10.... in short, spring has arrived in st. petersburg.
my crazy visa issues are also well on the way to being resolved. at the very least, i have until the end of june, and if the gods are on my side, i'll be here all summer as well.

the writing is going well. film stuff is also lining up nicely.

the parents arrive day after tomorrow. my mom's first visit to russia in 29 years!
