we met for the second time two years after the first. "oh, it's YOU!" i was thrilled to see her, though i couldn't remember why, or even where i'd met her before (no worries, we figured it out later). all i remembered at first was that i'd met her and liked her somewhere and i'd liked her a lot, and i was happy to get to cross paths with her again. karen is a sexy, spunky woman with her shit going on and a beautiful smile, an engaging person who holds interesting conversations. um, that's my definition of "the kinda woman i wanna have as a friend".

1. i was a punk rock teenager 2. lived in hawaii for a big part of the 90's... did research with green sea turtles and then later geckos. published my work in an international journal. 3. i spent all my 20's with just one man! 4. i once worked as a roller skating waitress in Boulder, CO 5. i have very vivid memories of a trip to guatemala when i was 5 years old... yet i can hardly remember your name or what i did 2 days ago. 6. once i was lost in a forest in thailand and was found and guided out by a peacock. 7. i often dream of very specific things as they are actually happening.... 8. i once came face to face with a large shark while diving in a cave at night. i had never seen one before and being of the 'jaws' generation i was deathly afraid of my first encounter. although i was not scared, and we stared at each other for a long time in awe.. and in peace. i learned then that the reality of our biggest fears are never as bad as the mind makes them out to be. i tag YOU, who is reading this and has yet to put one up yourself... you know who you are!!!
