The BFF just had a birthday, and in spite of my being 8+ years older, a recent email from her made me feel oh so young:

i'm going shopping for a blender tomorrow. i made homemade strawberry jam (it tastes great!). i wore a button-down shirt over a turtleneck today, and rolled the shirt sleeves up to my elbows. i. am. thirty.

It's been cold in Madrid, so I'll cut her some slack. But I am almost afraid to ask:
