Ken is one of the very best people I have met in this world and I feel amazingly fortunate to have connected with him. He has that rare inner sparkle so few learn how to cultivate within themselves. A talented artist performer and creator, Ken turns dreams into stunning visual reality. Generous with his time and abilities, he is an excellent teacher and community builder. This past winter I had the pleasure of visiting the Hawaiian Islands and was introduced to kenrom in my first week. Our friendship resulted in a series of experiences, social events and new friends over the following seven weeks that made my visit exponentially better than had I not met him. There is not a more generous, ambitious, friendly, spirited, socially connected, fun-loving and mischievous man in all the islands, or perhaps the world. Ken should be getting a full salary with benefits and tenure just to be himself and to play in the world with his crazy alternative island-style social capital.

Ken is one of the best people on this planet. He has more fun than any man should. From the fire spinning to the chickens to his skills with a Samurai sword no one should be surprised by his charming demeanor and his willingness to help a friend. See you on the Playa, or around town, your place mabey? Doesnt matter where it will be fun no matter what.

If you are a watermelon, you probably shouldn't consider building a lasting friendship with this left handed samurai. But if you aren't a watermelon, he's a great guy. Easy to hang with, cool, smart, wise, friendly, relaxed, creative, and expressive. Always has time for love and play, but somehow organized enough to keep things together while he lets it all hang out. Just don't get too close if you grow on a vine and have delicious, juicy, refreshing innards.
He also keeps chickens, and a guy who can love chickens tenderly is okay in my book. October 24, 2005

I am blessed to have Ken in my life. He is a very giving and caring person. Because of his ability to bring people together, I have met many amazing people since I moved to Hawaii 8 months ago. And done many amazing things - even been a watermelon samari assistant! Thank you for everything, Ken.

I have just met this amazing man on tribe and happily wait till the time I get to actually meet him in person. Sometimes you meet someone and just go "they are good peoples" Kenrom is like that. He instantly made me feel warm and fuzzy just emailing and chatting with him. Also he is really dam cute!!!!

Ahhhh... Ken.
Ken is my wandering warrior who's presense brightens my life, even when that presense is limited to email or phone calls. I am so very proud of him for living his life the way his heart demands. I envy his bravery and cherish his love. January 13, 2004
Ken owns a part of my heart and he always will. He is one of the most caring and generous people I know, with a loving spirit and beautiful mind. He has a knack for pulling wonderful people together - and oddly enough in these times, they tend to form community and become friends, rather than drift apart again. His skills are so varied that it is hard for me to comprehend how they fit together into one person - fire staff, producing, massage, and programming.
The four words that best sum up Ken in my opinion are: honesty, intensity, loyalty, and energy.

Holy shit, what an astoundingly wonderful time I had this past weekend, up in the Santa Cruz mountains... I had been trying to make it to this event for four years, and this time I was rewarded with an embarrassment of riches! I made a wealth of new friends from around the world, as well as got to see many of my lovely fire family! YAY!
