On my list of things I want out of life, near the top are these three things: good friends with whom I can have unexpected, loving, weird, rambling, meaningful conversations at the drop of a hat, a pleasant and peaceful home I can host them in, and good food I can cook to give them while they're here. There are other things too, like a good EBM club where I can do what passes for dancing in my ex-goth-who-misses-it world, a cafe where I can read books over a really excellent masala chai, tender and perverse sex, a job that holds my interest and teaches me something new every moment, someone to go to museums with who won't mind me taking notes, a hot tub, etc. I've got dreams and goals and I'm moving on them even as they change.
