Me:
I am a Dominant, but I don't define myself only as a Dominant.
I believe this important to stress, as most people in the scene seem to expect, as well as prefer to be seen as, uni-dimensional shapes, cardboard portrayals of their BDSM inclinations. My life is much fuller and much richer than that, and BDSM is a part of who I am, not solely who I am.

* I'm a "suit", an executive in the BioMedical industry with a very strong income and a fascination for finance, investing and making and keeping money.
* I travel extensively: for most of 2006 I bounced around Europe (UK, Netherlands, Austria, Poland), and the US (CA (LA, SanFran, SanDiego) & FL (Tampa)). 2007 looks like 50% SFO and 50% SAN, with occasional side trips out to Boston.
* I am very demanding of myself, and, by extension, of others.
* I'm a military vet, which I see more and more as having had a real impact on me during a defining period of my life.
* Nature/genetics have been good to me, and I'm usually mistaken for being 10 yrs younger.
* I have multiple degrees, well-educated, intellectually inquisitive.
* I love & collect wine, particularly large reds, and am embracing Spanish wines in 2007.
* I'm a health & fitness nut.
* I despise inefficiency, and find it frustrating wherever I encounter it.
* For the last 2 yrs or so, I've been exploring Asian cinema, particularly Chan-wook Park and Takashi Miike, and find it fascinating.

So for the BDSM aspects:
I've been in the public scene for coming on 12yrs now, and have a lot of experience & contacts. I've been involved with BDSM long enough that I have a solid sense of who I am & what I want, as well as a very respectable level of technical skill. I've been involved in many established groups, including AHS (Kansas City), SAK (Sacramento), Odyssey (San Jose), Scorpio (Orange County), Janus (San Francisco), ClubX (San Diego), WetSpot (Seattle).

The height of my involvement was a two year period, when I managed (and actually lived on the top floor of) a private S&M dungeon club in San Francisco, taught "Intro to BDSM" classes, and was on the initial team of DMs for the launch of the Odyssey parties. I also owned and ran EternityCollars for 4yrs. Lately, I've backed off the public scene a bit, and tend more towards doing private or semi-private stuff, house parties and small invite-only groups.

I expect people coming to me to be sincere and willing to have conversations & interactions as equals prior to us dipping into heavy D/s or protocol-bound interfacing.
I have zero interest in exclusively cyber or email-based relations.
An ideal relationship for me would be the submission of a peer or equal, where we have a constant undercurrent of D/s, but often interact as partners. This would be the norm, broken by very sharp spikes of hard D/s or S&M, followed by return to 'regular programming'.

I travel very frequently, and make a very good living, so plane tickets are not an issue.
