putting them here as I re-find them, as lala, in its efforts for redesigning, scrapped the direct popcorn trail to find my own reviews. interesting pathway to see if if I can find my own favorites :-)
Kermit Unpigged
Delightful album, so I don't forget to let the inner kid to come out and play. I grew up watching the muppets, so this is perfect.
Nashville, by Josh Rouse
My favorite Josh Rouse album, this one hits me on the heartstrings every time. I've seen him in concert twice, and he's every bit as good in person as he is recorded (even better). He's got a great voice, and a soft yet striking honesty to his lyrics.
The Essential Robin Trower, by Robin Trower
Sometimes, there's nothing better than good, really good rock n' roll, and this stuff is fantastic. Perfect for a long drive on a summer day with the windows rolled down.
Night Sessions, by Chris Botti
Jazz trumpet with sensuality and crossover appeal. I bought this cd thinking I'd take a chance on some jazz, and it's one of my favorites. Best listened to by candlelight. Amazing he recorded it all in one night.
Speak for Yourself, by Imogen Heap
Immie's music is lovely, she's got a unique blend of heart and techno, with a lot of ingenuity and creativity for spice. She's great in concert too. One of my favorite finds.
I always love the muppets. One of my favorite albums is, no kidding, "Kermit Unpigged," where the muppets sing songs with artists like Meatloaf and Vince Gill.
Come to find out something I didn't know.
There's a Muppet Wiki!! Omigod, this is just surreal.
muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Muppet_Wiki
Found this when I was searching to explain a chosen codeword with a friend, the word" snufflafugus", which is a beast apparently only Big Bird can see (urban dictionary says when he's on...

an amazing project, amazing photos. it's amazing to see the variety of freedom that people experience, regardless of circumstances.
stumbled onto this after seeing the movie about Spencer Tunick and his art of crowds of naked people.

The gatekeeper is dressed in grey tights, a pink and black striped jacket, with big pink ostrich feathers on his shoulders. No hat. He has a large…smile.
“May I enter?” I say with a gentle smile and a curtsy.
“On what grounds?” he replies, offisorily (if that’s not a word – it’s like speaking from the office that you are responsible for).
“Because I want to.” I’m dressed in a silk and satin ball gown, with a peacock feather in my hair that matches the color in my dress and matching wra...

So, I have a chat with Dad tonight, talking about what’s going on in his life, and what’s going on at work with me. I happen to mention that there’s one guy who really frustrates me, he’s a senior manager who just can’t seem to appreciate people. He can be mean and nasty, his meetings are old school style, where he sits at the front and he’s the only one who talks.
Dad’s suggestion: Go up to this guy and tell him I appreciate what he does.
That’s who my Dad is for me.
He’s the ...

about me
Gigglicious, Jigglicious, Bootylicious, that's me
what do you love? what makes you happy? what makes you break down in tears? what makes you laugh so hard you think you're gonna pee your pants? Inquiring minds wanna know!
I love facilitating and participating in authentic communication and stimulating conversation - and bringing people together to do that. In other words, I like to plan parties, excursions, and play party games. And Karaoke, with friends.
I love it when I take a photo of someone and it captures who they are for me, like I got an instant of their essence on film. I love catching those moments when people are being themselves and they think no one's noticing how much they are saying in how they're being in that moment. I love capturing what I call "the money shot", that picture that is one out of a 100 that makes you rock, it has you want to shout "Yes, THAT'S IT!"
Everyone is Somebody Else's Weirdo - (my license plate holder)
I'm still learning who I am... but, for now, here are some quotes I like:
"Draw a crazy picture, Write a nutty poem, Sing a mumble-gumble song, Whistle through your comb. Do a loony-goony dance 'Cross the kitchen floor, Put something silly in the world That ain't been there before." -Shel Silverstein
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. ~Dr. Seuss
Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand. - Chinese Proverb
The true way to be humble is not to stoop until you are smaller than yourself, but to stand at your real height against some higher nature that will show you what the real smallness of your greatness is.- Phillips Brooks
Through all the world there goes one long cry from the heart of the artist: Give me leave to do my utmost. - Isak Dineson, Babette's Feast
"We don't see things as they are, we see things as we are." Anais Nin
Our deepest fears are like dragons guarding our deepest treasures. - Ranier Maria Rilke
"A ship in port is safe, but that is not what ships are built for." - Benazir Bhutto
Here are some artists/albums that currently I'm playing a lot... this list changes with the wind, but here it is for now
Amy Obenski: Kite
Her music grounds me to where I often avoid going but where I often yearn to be...
Josh Rouse: 1972; Nashville; Subtitilo
I cannot get enough of this guy, he's so intimate in his music, in a way that's powerful and gentle. "Streetlights" and "Contact" are my favorites
Death Cab for Cutie: Transatlanticism
There's something about this one that haunts me and helps me find my way back to where I want to go...
Maroon5: Songs for Jane
These are the kind I love to sing or dance to...
Bassnectar: Mesmerizing the Ultra
Shake da booty into another world, I find who I forgot myself as here
Jack Johnson: In Between Dreams
Puts me on a beach anytime, I can have the ocean sing to me...
Chris Botti: A Thousand Kisses Deep
Somebody finally gets how sensual a trumpet can sound...
Garden State soundtrack
Find yourself in it...
Black Eyed Peas: Monkey Business
variety is the spice of life
Michael Franti and Spearhead: Everyone Deserves Music
Inspiration offered here
Dave Matthews Band: Stand Up
It's the kind of rock n' roll that feels like home
Amos Lee
just let him sing to you and watch what happens...
Caetano Veloso: A Foreign Sound
One of the finest voices on the planet, you must hear his version of Nirvana's "Come as You Are". Brilliantly haunting.

Hamlet on the Holodeck: The Future of Narrative in Cyberspace by Janet Murray
Fascinating stuff, still want to delve more into this....
-
Passionate Marriage: Love, Sex, and Intimacy in Emotionally Committed Relationships by Donald Schnarch
This book altered my view of marriage - I now see marriage and sex with a lifetime partner as an *access* to fulfilling sex and intimacy of the most amazing kind. It speaks to what you are communicating at the level of sex and intimacy, very cool stuff
-
The Diamond Age : Or, a Young Lady's Illustrated Primer by Neal Stephenson
Great fun cyperpunk with the cool idea of the Primer, where my former kitty Nellie got her name
-
The Cartoon History of the Universe III: From the Rise of Arabia to the Renaissance by Larry Gonick
Any book by Larry Gonick is absolutely brilliant, this man is a genius - to make history fun, enlightening, and to get at the heart of the story is no easy feat but he makes it look that way...

Women Can't Hear What Men Don't Say: Destroying Myths, Creating Love by Warren Farrell
If you are a man or if you love them, you must read this. This book totally opened my eyes about how we leave men with no freedom. If you want to learn how to have a man feel like a real man, read this & learn to do your part (I'm still learning myself)

To Ms. Sexy!!!!
You rock, and the fact you let me run around naked in your parents' house, use their hot tub, drink their booze, drink my own booze, kiss lots of your friends, and let me be fully expressed rocks my world.
You're not allowed to leave my life, never ever ever.

Kimberly has a softness about her that I find inviting and relaxing. I also think she's wildly passionate and adventurous. She makes a great friend because I can see that she loves me. =)

Kimberly sort of sneaks up on you. (In a good way!) Unless you slow down and look carefully, you might miss knowing that she writes like a big-leaguer, sings and plays music, hosts a killer party, and she can dance a little too. If you think of a place you want to go and have fun, there's a good chance that you'll see Kimberly there. This is a lady who's serious about fun.
