Grrrr.. why does EVERYONE know better than me/us?

So, as you know by now we have a bar.
And everyone .. EVERYONE .. has an opinion on what is either wrong with it or what has to be changed or .....
Now I guesss I shouldn't say everyone. i'm sure there are a couple people that haven't weighed in. And really most of the people mean well and say their piece then let it drop. But right now I'm dealing with a couple people who just KNOW what is wrong and they want to tell me what to do about it, and by the way forget that they defended the smok... read more

What's going on this weekend?

So, Crystals school has 'babysitting 6-10 pm on Fridays for 20$. She loves it, so I 'let' her stay :-)
SO, I get to play for a bit on Friday night.
A friend or 2 from work and I will have a drink or 2 at the Jury Room after work, then if no ones around I guess I'll go home till it's time to go get little one. BUT if more of my friends happen to come by I will happily stay longer :-)

New Years at the Jury Room NO COVER

One of the few drinking establishments where there is no cover.
It should be a great party!

If you need some child care for New Years I'll be watching the kids at the house (For all my friends that want to go out).

bands for this weekend at the jury room

We have a really great lineup this weekend.
Girls night (which is the second friday of the month) was a blast!
We've had a great slack key guitar player for 6:30-8 Wednesday nights. Tiki drink specials too. He's been getting a lot of compliments, which surprised me since it really isn't standard music for the JR. :-)

For the rest of the hard core music lovers... (Sunday music is supposed to be fun pub like music) You GOTTA love the names of the bands :-)

We bought a bar

So, many of you do know this. but many still don't. After Tim cycling through many different hi-tech jobs, getting more and more stressed, we bought a bar in santa Cruz for him to manage/run. Hold on... we bought the Jury Room. Most who have been through Santa Cruz can say "I saw it". Many don't come in because it is a little daunting. There's no windows and it's small.
