Spent a week in beautiful Santa Barbara dancing my ass off with Alexandra King and friends. I really think I'm getting too old for this stuff! But, I survived and lived to tell the tale.

Woke up this am with a bladder infection. Instant kharmic retribution for my foul, hostile behavior over the past week, I'm sure. No one could do anything right. Except me, of course. And now, here I sit with cranberry juice at hand when I'm not running down the hall to pee, that is. I have to perfect a dance routine for next weekend, pack for the following week at belly dance camp and clean my house. Ain't gonna happen!

No, We Don't Accept Bribes

Just when I thought I'd heard it all at the airport... This broad checks a bag that weighs over 70 pounds. When I tell her it's gonna cost her $100 for me to lift that monolith and put it on the belt, probably breaking my back, or the very least a nail in the process, she starts to swear. What language out of the mouth of a lady! That part is fairly normal... It's my fault you think it's necessary to overload your bags. So, go ahead call me a bitch. But, please, don't offer to trade me those skanky-assed rhinestone studded hooker jeans you got for your birthday if I waive the fee. I don't care if the tags are still on them. Do I look like a hooker? I don't accept bribes, especially butt ugly jeans

Where'd the Weekend Go?

Monday morning and for some perverse reason, I agreed to pick up half a shift at the airport today. Oh, now I remember. I have to pay for the loot I picked up at Med Fest last weekend and start a slush fund for my Santa Barbara venture.

Spent all of Sunday covering half of a new bra... must have done before August 18. Covered and decorated and "test driven". The thing is the size of a Buick! Scares me to look at it.

Husband volunteered to watch the neighbors' peachfaced love birds. The critters do not shut up unless you throw a blanket over the cage. Give me ferrets any day. They, at least, are silent!

Just got back from a weekend in Seattle, visiting my kid and hanging w/my home girls at Med Fest! Rock on Babs!

I don't think I'll ever be able to control my spending habit. Collected more bits and bobs for my costume collection. And, I still don't have a decent bedlah to call my own! Good grief, where do some of these vendors get the crap they sell???

Saw some really cool tribagoth dancers... specifically two girls on Sunday afternoon. Gushed over both of them and probably frightened the poor girls. A granny goth jumping out of the bushes to congratulate them on their inspiring performance!
