This door frame is a mortise and tenon. It is then set in concrete to lock it into the concrete block wall. The end product is beautifully plastered and painted.

A retaining wall in Kandy, Sri Lanka. This example is 30 ft tall and 80 ft long. This structural system is composed of steel caged of twisted or welded wire, filed with rocks of chunks of concrete.
