Some Quote or Another

"We hire people from "Chemlawn" because green grass is somehow preferable to clean water or not having cancer. We leave the lights on in office buildings overnight just to show that the building is still standing. We "need" new clothes every spring and fall, regardless that our closets are full to bursting with perfectly wearable clothes. We pay $100 each for football tickets and say "what a shame" about Darfur. We're pigs. And, for the most part, entirely ungrateful for what we have; even totally unaware of our riches."

"Naturally, the common people don’t want war, but they can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. Tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and endangering the country. It works the same in every country." -Herman Goering, Hitler’s Reichsmarschall, at the Nuremberg Trials
