I have had FABULOUS luck with all of my Tribe friends being great in person, and Rachel, once again, makes me SO glad that I was lured onto this network so many years ago : ). She's perfectly marvelous! It was immediately easy to talk and hang out and play, as if we'd been doing it for years rather than having just met. A brilliant mind, a sweet and nonjudgmental personality, and just enough snarky and silly to spice the mix better than Ron Siegel could have! Oh, and great taste in fun clothes (I so need that dress!!!), a shared love of beautiful rooms that have been despoiled, and just enough geek to make me all squeaky and happy. OMG, I needed a week to take her to all of the fun places I thought of when I was driving home from our visit!!! That's the only thing I regret...that we only had one afternoon together. I look forward to finding more time to play with the wonderful woman again VERY soon. She's an utter gem.

I love her smarts, her wit, her skills with words. When I need a cup of hot tea, she's always right there for me. I don't tell her enough how much I appreciate her. If you don't have her on your friends list, you don't know what you're missing.

The only woman who is interesting, well read, well educated, funny, a good cook, and wears a tiara with ATTITUDE.
I am so happy to call you my friend.
I adore you!!

To put it simply, Rachel shines.
She's an artist with her words and thoughts, a weaver of stories and intricate emotions.
Her friendship is so generously offered, and we who have it blessed to take it into our hearts and hold it wherever we go.
Rae is a caring soul with a fierce strong heart, and any glimpse of it is lucky.
Much love.

She who is full of Christmas,
lives her life
like a tore open present
that she sometimes rewraps.
She listens to ho ho ho music everyday of the year
likes chinese
and wandering woods
has no fear of strange adventures.
her beauty is both
inner and outer
and travels by bus.
her blog is always
a delight for who knows
what will happen next.
she are be good people
I would like to expresso
I like her a latte.
and I am thankful for her friendship.
If and when I meet her in person
I want to go dancing
and not just the fast ones,
because i am sure
her hair
smells like a Hot Dame's
from the elegant
days of the movies.

When Hobbits celebrate, they GIVE gifts away. Many Native American tribes do the same thing when they have a potlatch. It’s a way of expressing your gratitude with the universe, God or the gods, however you believe.
Anyway, in celebration of the release of my novella, The Holly and the Ivan, I have decided to give away four (4) e-copies of said book in a blog contest! Not that purchasing my little story will break your bank. For a little less than a couple of bucks you can enjoy a happy ho...

Los Angeles, CA November 2009 -- Rachel Olivier announces the publication of the holiday paranormal romance, The Holly and the Ivan, out through Drollerie Press 2009.
The only thing Holly likes as much as being in a band is being in a relationship. She can’t turn a cute guy down, and has the disastrous dating history to prove it. On the eve of her band’s biggest performance, a Christmas festival raising funds for the homeless, Holly meets two intriguing men, but even she can’t date both at...

KARMA REPAIR KIT: ITEMS 1-4
1. Get enough food to eat,
And eat it.
2. Find a place to sleep where it is quiet,
and sleep there.
3. Reduce intellectual and emotional noise
until you arrive at the silence of yourself,
and listen to it.
