Belly Dancing since 1998. Instructors include Mahisha Alail (formerly of Colorado Springs), Eva Cernik and Susanna Del Vecchio of Denver, and Zafia of Colorado Springs. Taken workshops with many world renown dancers such as: Dalia Carella, Rachel Brice, Mardi Love, Zoe, Joynan, Deanna of Devyani, and more I just can't remember.

Have also studied hip hop with Amy at the Dance Center of Colorado Springs, and Irish dance Celtic Steps.

Member of the professional oriental dance troupe "Gidda Hoop" based in Colorado Springs.

Diversity Fest

Got a few of the first pictures from the festival. I had a lot of fun and loved interacting with the crowd. These were from the street performance. Waiting to get some frrom the City Aud.

Reminder to self: Work on face. :) I didnt smile for any of the performance pics. I must have been nervous or having the concentration face. Dammit.

Lived to tell the tale

The final tally :

320 people had signed up for the free intro class.
90 showed up.

Lots of people were (understandably) pissed because they could see nothing if more than 3 rows back. But in the end, a lot of people had fun and hopefully got something out of it . I should at least have 5-10 people in my class on Wednesdays.

My breakdown and mini combinations really worked well for this class, whereas the other teacher kind of scared the piss out of everyone with her "shotgun approach". Follow the bouncing butt does NOT work for a beginner intro class. Especially in such a clusterfuck of people. Good stuff to know.

I am pleased with how it went, and excited for regular classes to start next week.

Eating Meat is my Favorite.

If vegetarianism means looking like Sophie Monk naked, pass me a rare bacon wrapped steak STAT. With a side of cage-fed beakless chickuns, and dolphin tainted tuna. This is fucking horrific, and I am totally fucking sick of this ad popping up everywhere. Her face looks like its sliding off into her ears too. Is that a side effect of tofu? I think she's laying there like that because she is too weak to move all 65 lbs of herself, not to mention one of her legs is obviously missing. Probably some kind of osteoporosis from the chili pepper vegan binges she later purges. What the fuck is wrong with people??? I don't even know who Sophie Monk is, but I truly believe that for 25 cents a day we can help her and the other starving people in Mmfufu Africa.
