The songs are getting old -- the peppy ones that used to propel are now like molasses, dreamy and sticky.

It does say that mental illness is extremely common and mostly quite curable. It also says that you should neither vilify nor patronize a friend or coworker who is mentally ill, but just be there for them, and it's the best...

One of the many stupid things that kept me from pursuing an involved career for many years was my fear of... cynicism? and negativity, I suppose, in the fields in which I was most interested. Arrogance, too.
So, one of the minor reasons that I chose science instead of medicine or music for this next stage of life was because I thought that its... inhabitants would have more likely retained their childish joy and innocence as they explored the mysteries of the universe.
