In a White Room With Black Curtains

Senate 15 District Convention

   Sat, March 29, 2008 - 3:37 PM
Holy crap! I just spent 10 hours at this crazy convention and I am worn out. Long story short, we had 1431 delegates (that's not counting the 1000 or so alternates who showed up). Out of those, we had 1056 votes for Obama and only 375 votes for Hillary.

Go Obama!

I split after 7 hours. My little county only had 280 delegates: 144 for Obama (51%) 136 for Clinton (49%)

They wound up getting an equal # of delegates (13 each) from our County to represent us in Austin.

Did you get elected to go on to the state convention? I won't be a delegate at state, but since Austin is relatively close to me, I'm thinking about volunteering just to help out & to see what it's like ;~)

Didn't even try to go to state this time. I'd had enough w/ precinct and district!

Way to Go!
Pete has a new girl working at the Laundromat, and she is also a delegate for (drumroll please) Obama. The more I see about that man, the more convinced I am he is the ONLY hope our nation has. If "mature leadership" has gotten us where we are right now, bring on the immature guy!
