I am funny, compassionate, cute. I like smart asses and smarties. I'm a geek, ex-Catholic school girl (12 year vet), librarian, biz consultant, and English instructor.
I'm a Buddhist, (by way of 12 years Catholic school). I've been a pacifist since a very early age. I'm anti-capital punishment. I think that sometimes organizations like the ACLU and Amnesty International keep this country in check. I'm also somewhat introverted (MBTI -- INTP), but only my close friends know that. I believe in compassion and peace and try to live up to my beliefs (it's a tough world). I'm a robot collector and I have an amazing ward, Spike the Wondercat.

Poor Sammy stepped on a very sharp branch in the snow just before Christmas. The first day he was fitted with the dreaded cone. Next day he got a few stitches. It's healing very well.

He was a very good puppy but he was not prepared for Spike's dismay and disgust at his new accessory. I love me some Sammy, but I kinda love my evil cat too. 
So in our last installment, our cat Spike was stealing our dog Sam's bed, eating his food, and his dog cookies.

Oh how the worm has turned -- or Spike learns that Karma is a bitch. Sam is now scooping all of Spike's food and water whenever he can. See Sam used to be Spike's size, but now he's a lot bigger. Spike is 11 lbs, Sam over 40. We've even moved it to a bookcase but the rascal had outsmarted us. Now we'll move it back to one of Spike's tall play structures. This isn't ove... read more

And yes, he does know that he's cute. And it's his dog bed that Spike is scamming in the earlier post. He's eating his food, nibbling on dog cookies. He's convinced my 11 year old Maine Coon cat that he's a dog, and an alpha dog at that!
