Jeff came to the first Middle Eastern Guild meeting I started a little over 10 years ago. I am "Honored" to have Jeff turn out to be my Best Student. He has always taken his drumming very seriously and he still practices constantly. There are many times we perform and I can feel the energy that he puts into his art. His skill level has gotten so exceptional it very often exceeds mine. But like a true teacher, you don't think I've taught him "Everything" I know. <grin> I still have a few things up my sleeve!
Jeff has accompanied me through thick and thin. He played as a back up drummer for my first band Al Kimie. When that band dissolved, he took over as my Lead drummer for Al Samoud. Jeff has always been there when I needed him most. His drumming is magic and inspiring; he’s a delight to perform with. I just have to make sure he hasn't consumed 14 cups of Turkish coffee before we start playing. (It's like playing with Bevis with a pound of caffeine in his system)!
All in all, Jeff has turned out to be one of the "Finest" Middle Eastern Drummers in the Country. With time, I'm sure he'll be picking up some new technique, there is no doubt in my mind that his drumming skills will far exceed mine!
Jeff, "You Rock". Keep up the great work. You’re an inspiration to us all!
