Sirius Business

The ancient Egyptians saw Sirius as a giver of life for it always reappeared at the time of the annual flooding of the Nile. In ancient Egypt, the helical rising of Sirius coincided with the annual rising of the Nile at Memphis.
In June of 1993, as our sun covered Sirius from the Earth's view, the largest flood of the past century occurred. The rivers of the Mississippi, The North American equivalent of the Nile River, overflowed its banks. This flood continued until the middle of August. When Sirius came out from behind the sun, the flood waters receded, news reports disappeared and the immediate life-threatening crisis subsided.

The Egyptian Dog Star
Sirius, the brightest star in the sky, is the original source of the term dog days of summer. Although there is a wee bit of disagreement and/or confusion on the matter the Dog Star" apparently originated from the ancient Egyptians who named the bright star, Sihor. Sihor was another name for the powerful Egyptian dog-headed divinity Anubis. Later traditions, it would seem, associated the Dog Star with the Egyptian god, Osiris.
Again, still today, the dog days have been thought to traditionally run from July 3 to August 11 however with certain common traditions saying they are longer and extend on into the month of September.

In the summer, however, Sirius, the “dog star,” rises and sets with the sun. During late July Sirius is in conjunction with the sun, and the ancients believed that its heat added to the heat of the sun, creating a stretch of hot and sultry weather. They named this period of time, from 20 days before the conjunction to 20 days after, “dog days” after the dog star.
The “precession of the equinoxes” (a gradual drifting of the constellations over time) means that the constellations today are not in exactly the same place in the sky as they were. Today, dog days occur during the period between July 3 and August 11. From wilstar.com/dogdays.htm

The Dogon Tribe, from the Homburi Mountains near Timbuktu (West Central Sahara Desert in Africa), have an apparent lock on traditions as they were able to describe in detail the three stars of the Sirian system.
But ancient Egypt provides the most regal history for Sirius. Initially, it was Hathor, the great mother goddess, who was identified with Sirius. But Isis soon became the major archetype, sharing honors with the title of Sirius as the Nile Star. An icon of Sirius as a five-pointed star (shades of the Golden Mean) has been found on the walls of the famous Temple of Isis/Hathor at Denderah. [The latter is possibly well connected to the Starfire of Laurence Gardners research. See, in particular, Gardners book, Lost Secrets of the Sacred Ark, HarperCollins, London, 2003; for some good stuff on Hathor and Denderah.]

The Nommos are a race of Beings that takes the physical forms of dolphins, whales, mermaids/mermen. Their home world is a planet in the Sirius star system that is mostly warm aqua-blue water.

SUMMER 2009 LUNAR ECLIPSE
According to Allison Rae
As the opening act in a three-part eclipse series in July and August, the July 6/7 Lunar Eclipse will impact the Earth, humanity and dimensions beyond. The Full Moon rising on Monday night will be partially eclipsed in the middle of the night. This is a shallow penumbral lunar eclipse visible in parts of Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica, Indonesia, and South and Central America.
The eclipse period lasts from 8:32 AM GMT through 10:44 AM GMT on July 7. The Moon crests to full at 9:21 AM GMT. To find out the timing in your area, click on the time zone calculator link below. For many of our readers, the eclipse happens overnight from July 6 to 7, so the most appropriate time for ceremony is Monday night, July 6.
I can't stress enough the importance of meditation or ritual in observance of this important celestial event. While this won't be the most engaging visual display, the energetic significance is immeasurable.
When I sat in meditation last week to prepare for writing my previous post about the upcoming eclipses, I heard repeatedly that this eclipse series is somehow "galactic." My first thought about this was that our Sun is aligned with the Great Star Sirius, and this Sun-Sirius conjunction in Cancer will oppose the Full Moon in Capricorn at the July 6/7 lunar eclipse. Although the Sun-Moon alignment with Sirius has sweeping metaphysical significance and is a guiding celestial presence for us on Earth, this didn't fully explain the word I kept receiving... "galactic."

Just visited tribe aftr a lengthy absence, also writing about the Sirius / Morning Star connection. Venus goes on its annual Heliacal rising at the same time and both reappear as the MorninG Star, I believe it is the combined energy of these 2 celestial bodies rising together that cause the Nile to flood. An amazing time brother, as we enter the 8 / 8 Lions gate portal opening of the Halls of Amenti or Hall of Records - Thanks for all of your wonderfu research, a blissing to read - Morning Star

Sirus C and the Dogon
The Dogon had already named Sirius B, “Po Tolo”, a name which includes the word for star (tolo) and “po”, the name of the smallest seed known to them. They had in fact described the star’s size by noting that it was, “the smallest thing there is.” They also had recognized that it was both white and “the heaviest star”.
The Dogon were also able to describe its elliptical orbit with Sirius A at one foci of the ellipse (an accurate description), its orbital period of 50 years (the actual figure is 50.04 +/- 0.09 years), and the fact the star rotated on its own axis (it does). Significantly, The Dogon also described a third star in the Sirius system, which they called “Emme Ya” (“Sorghum Female”), and which contained a single satellite in orbit around Emme. The Dogon idea of their being a Sirius C, aka Emme Ya, was not accorded any real respect until 1995, when two French Astronomers published their results, after years of study, of what was apparently a small, red-dwarf star within the Sirius star system [1] The conclusion was based on perturbations in the orbits that could not be explained by any other means. Obviously, The Dogon are way ahead of modern astronomers! [Of course, astronomers are still calling a Vesica Pisces an “hourglass”, so what can you expect?] In addition to the Sirius system, The Dogon mythology includes knowledge of Saturn’s rings and Jupiter’s four major moons (none of which can be seen by the naked eye and it was only by Galileo and later astronomer’s telescopes that either could be seen). The Dogon also have long known that planets orbit the sun. According to The Dogon, their astronomical knowledge was supposedly given to them by the Nommos, amphibious beings sent to earth from Sirius for the benefit of mankind. The name comes from a Dogon word meaning “to make one drink”, with the Nommos also being called: “Masters of the Water”, the “Monitors”, and the “Teachers”. [The latter two sound suspiciously like the Sumerian Nefilim, the “watchers” and aspects of certain “Gods and Goddesses” of the Anunnaki.] The Nommos, considered to be saviors and spiritual guardians, were allegedly more fishlike than human, and had to live in water. [Possibly, seeking a higher porpoise?] “The Nommo divided his body among men to feed them; that is why it is also said that as the universe ‘had drunk of his body,’ the Nommo also made men drink. He gave all his life principles to human beings.” According to The Dogon, the Nommo was crucified and resurrected and in the future will again visit the earth, this time in human form. Later he would assume his amphibious form and rule the world from the waters. [Obviously, this is all highly suggestive of Jesus Christ, not to mention the fish symbol, taken from the Vesica Pisces. Everything is, after all, connected! All the stories are pretty much the same.] From www.halexandria.org/dward109.htm and tribes.tribe.net/thcsociet...0b419edc5f |
