This week is the anniversary of 15 years of Moontribe, the free desert gatherings that have been a refuge, an inspiration and so much more, to so many people. I'm honored to be a featured guest artist at this years anniversary, my first time ever performing at a Moontribe gathering. I really love and appreciate the moontribe family, and the gatherings were a crucial nexus for me when I was living in Los Angeles. They continue to be an inspiration, and the energy and intention behind the gatherings is somthing we can all learn from, and emulate as promoters and party people. So, i'm workin hard on my set, got a new shade structure ;) and will see ya'll cornheads out in the desert.

March 15: Chevron Direct Action and Rally Direct Action to Stop the War www.ActAgainstWar.net The purpose of this action is shut the Chevron refinery down for the day, and to support community efforts to stop Chevron from expanding its refinery, which will increase pollution and cause asthma, cancer and rising death rates in surrounding communities. Chevron is driving the war and occupation in Iraq, refining over a million barrels of stolen Iraqi oil in Richmond a month, and actively lobbying for the privatization of Iraq¹s oil fields so companies like Chevron can seize control of them. Join us, and help send a clear message to Chevron: Stop stealing Iraqi oil, and stop polluting our communities! See our Chevron fact sheet. COMMUNITY RALLY: There will be rally from 11am to 1pm. Spoken word, music, performance, etc and some speakers to break down the issues and possibilities. MARCH/PROCESSION: The Rally will turn into a March or Procession on Chevron's Refinery and 1/2 mile away. Join the TXT MOB to keep up with the march! We've touched down on the Island for the week, played for E-ma's birthday last night with the Goddess Alchemy Project and ELF and are hard at work (while not on the beach) getting ready for the Source Festival this weekend. Tonight there is a full moon party before mile marker 31 in Kaupo so if you are on the island, come get your groove on! http://www.sourcemaui.com/ SOURCE begins @ 7am on Friday, Feb 22nd, 2008 and ends on Sunday, Feb 24th @ noon SOURCE is an interactive art, music, healing and educational celebration of loving community, which will take place on the spectacular northeast coast of Maui. Our gracious host, the YMCA Camp at Keanae, is set amongst 10 acres of some of the most incredible scenery in Hawai'i. Overlooking the famous Keanae Peninsula, our playground for the event includes lush green fields for camping and a stunning view. Your ticket basically includes everything but your bedding. There are a limited amount of bunk beds available (first come, first served) but ample room to set up camp. The kitchen will be cooking up fresh, local, organic fare and will provide tea, coffee, snacks and fresh water throughout the day and into the night. Friday 2:00am w/ Selector Science and Breakbeat Buddha @ the Crude Awakenings flamethrower, the worlds largest flamethrower ever to be set off. Can't miss it. Saturday Night 12-1am @ Cyphertown after the man burns w/ Sleepyhead (KnowSleep all original set) Entheon (2:30 and Esplanade) Sunday after the temple burn w/ Taylor Maiden Space and guests. This will be a sacred evening set not to be missed. MCd by Taylor of the Goddess Alchemy Project. Green Society - greensociety.org, (daily trance dance 6-8) probably wednesday. Art Cars: Abraxis Dub Bus +more KnowSleep - A new collaboration with Sleepyhead, the producer of Souleye's last album, and a fellow member of the former eastcoast hiphop collective Lucid Musik. We are just finishing up a completely new album of tribal, tech, hiphop beats set to be unleashed on the playa.
