Kundalini Arts is the shared artistic vision of us Brighton artists Philip Shadbolt & MandalaBob, who have been co-creating our visionary images for the last 12 years. After meeting in Camden, we were first commissioned to produce artwork for the emerging club & dance party scene that exploded into 90’s London.

Since then we’ve had a dynamic journey of self-discovery, with Phil working in hand painted oils & acrylics, and Bob using digital media to fuse traditional & contemporary elements into the focused mandalas.

More recently, we've completed artwork for the Karim Rashid designed 'Myhotel' Brighton (Uk) which included our images in all 80 guest rooms, and we're currently working on several other new projects.
Our works can be found in collections from around the world, with the use of vibrant colour and nature inspired subject matter providing a welcome escape from the urban blandness of the current artworld offerings !

Originally from Australia, Phil studied Fine art, Graphic Design, & Illustration before moving to the Uk in 1993. He prefers to paint large scale figurative canvases, using hand-crafted skills & techniques, and some works can take several months to complete, depending on the size and high level of detail involved ...

Bob had a background working in Psychiatry, before moving out to India for a while in the early 1990's. That led to him spending three years living with the Sadhus, studying meditation and visual symbology, and that is what fuelled his fascination with the creation and use of Mandalas. They can used as decorative or functional artworks, to energise and enrich your living spaces.

Never ones to follow trends, we have remained true to our artistic ideals, and seek only to create enriching images filled with beauty and light.

We now work mainly from our Brighton studio, and as often as possible spend time in India, as it’s from this magical place that we find our inspiration.
