From the moment that I stepped into Kye's LA apartment for Sunday Night Football - my life was forever changed. His passion and straight forward nature draw all those around him in to create a beauty that is blinding. I miss you Kye, when you are not around and love you dearly morning until night ; now until forever - my beautiful Angel of Music.

Wow, did I just dream all that???? I'm sitting here in the same internet cafe, at the same computer yet in different clothes with a slightly different perspective. It’s 2:30 am when I arrive at Denpasar Airport headed to my hotel in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. I am comforted seeing so much English written on both the street signs and advertisements.

When I go through customs I have a brief but interesting conversation with the customs officer who says to me that he has a sensitive question to ask me. I love this man...passionately and deeply and truly.
I love him NOT for what he does but for what HE IS. His heart, his integrity, his passion, his knowledge, his awareness, his struggles, his pain, his pleasure and so much more.. they all help create an incredible man. I know this man. I do and he knows me and we are (almost) the same in so many ways. And it is a holy (and wholly) knowledge to accept.
I love this man...so completely and for so many reasons. I love this man for the way he can create laughter with tears of sadness still present in the room. I love this man for the way he moves his body...it invites others to join him in dance, joy and touch. I love this man for the way he carries and expresses his heart...so clearly, so openly, with so much intention. I love Kye Brackett for so many reasons that are obvious and for the other reasons found in the space around the words. My first freedomevent was one that Kye put on. I went in scared and cynical, and I came out a new woman. LITERALLY.
Kye is the space for people to create who they want to be and be completely supported in that. Kye is a connector. Kye is a lover. Kye is a force of life and gernerosity of soul that holds a mirror to the face of those he surrounds himself with in such a way as to illuminate the beauty in all he touches. I've learned so much about my life and who I have chosen to be by being in Kye's presence. Kye, being around you reminds me of my strength, my beauty, and my every moment's choice to be those things.
