I am at Cooper Elementary School where I am a reading tutor for grades k-5 via AmeriCorps Washington Corps.
Really, it's a GREAT thing!

After writing my last entry, I moved through the house with the purposes of eating and attitude adjusting. Gathering my ingredients at the coffee table, I started making my lunch while scrolling through our DVR to see what we had. Now, if you have Comcast DVR, you know that it always upgrades to HD if it can. HD programs take up twice as much memory as regular TV. In order to maintain as much space as possible, I watch HD programs first. Some programming I have to watch with Ryan -- you know,...

I admit it... I am too critical. I take shit that is meant to be uplifting and criticize it, making it shit, without even realizing that I am making myself feel bad in the process.
Case in point, on myspace, a friend of mine wrote a blog with the title "Christmas IS for Children" and it annoyed me so deeply, I fired off a response, criticizing it, but indirectly... but directly... you can read it and report how you felt about it if you want...
All I know is that after thinking about all...

Made me feel sad.
In the Dark Days, there needs to be less focus on dark things -- no matter how salient.
Our ancestors gave us a gift. For this hemisphere, these are the darkest days of the year. What did they do? They gave us a bunch of holy days that spread all across the solistice. Days to give us faith and light, to make us remember and return to our inner lights.
We need hope... and there I was... trying to stomp on the light of someone else... found my own light stomped on. Da...

The folks asked us not to buy them anything for Christmas this year.
We don't understand it. However, reading Sarah's blog, I guess I get it... I guess, but food prices went up a long time ago. No one was more saddened than me when the ten cans of tuna for a dollar days were a thing of the past. Even Koolaid, which has been ten packs for a dollar since I was kid, hasn't held up to that childhood standard for many, many years. And I have to wonder, why is it that people are seeing now what ...

about me
A displaced Southerner living in the Pacific Northwest. I got art on my mind, knowledge in my throat, and a song on my tongue.
Geez, I hate these things.

I'm going to splice a few consonants and vowels together in an attempt to express the uniqueness that is Bro. Quentin.
Creative, Articulate, Fierce, Sensitive, and Controversial are some of the adjectives that come to mind when trying to describe, Q. He keeps it real; often saying the things I'm too diplomatic to say. It's all love though.
I respect Quentin's integrity and willingness to shoot from the hip. If I ever need honest advice, I know who to turn to. All in all bro is multifaceted and never ceases to amaze with random, albeit timely, observations!
cheers!

Quentin is the cool breeze that comes gently, for a moment, on a muggy, hot day, surrounds you and lingers just long enough to remind you of human ideals, classical arts, philanthropy, when you were sweaty and exhausted and just struggling to get to the damn subway. I wish I lived in Seattle where Quentin and I would start TeapotCon 2007. And everyone would have to dress up for High Tea. And the food would be all different colors. Quentin makes tribe a better place, because Quentin is a rockstar. And I should know, because I'm a girlie badass.

some people speak truth like songs that sing me through dark nights and i am thankful for them even when i have never laid my eyes upon them.
Quentin Ergane is one of those gifts to my consciousness. thanks for that.

I have to admit, the second house... I can barely wrap my head around it... which is sad because I have Mars in Cancer in the Second house. The best I can come up with is that the way I make money is based on my moods!

I don't know how I missed your response all these years.
EMPHATICALLY YES to what you said. However, I also have Jupiter in Aries in the 11th -- I have pretty good luck meeting new people who aren't completely craptastic.

No Buttercup, thank you for writing this. The truth is, within our communities, gay men give HIV/AIDS to other gay men. When I first heard and thought about that profound statement, it took my breath away and made me profoundly sad. Consider: We c...
