This year, I truly celebrated the Day of Mourning.

It wasn't the filth I felt capable of, but we found a comfortable bubble of insanity upon which we could all agree.

I did not call him.

He did not call me.

In fact, I came into that realization fairly recently. A butterfly thought while processing my first viewing of _Pink Flamingoes_... and the exhilaration with knowing that I have a favorite movie now -- once again. And...

My day of mourning was a day of people pulling it tog... read more

Me vs Mine

Imagine an oak
all majestic and mighty
moss growing due north
silent witness
the building of a see-saw
upon which children played
games of boredom
reaching into the power lines
during heavy frost breaking
the land beneath so full of bones
soaking in the blood of a people
never wiped out, remnants
hiding in sand like from Star Wars.

With a towel on my head,
I chased him, matching his every stride.
Sand flew off his shoes in kicking strides
as he zigged and zagge... read more

I will let you know what you want to know, but only if I don't mind you knowing. ;)

My eye sees beauty in humans specifically and with ease. This makes me social and somewhat limits my real bitchiness and ability to be direct. I don't have a true physical "type" and while I try not to show it, I pity you that do and laugh at your frustrated efforts, too.

People like to tell me, like to think that I am open. But that isn't completely true. Somewhat of an intensity junkie, there isn't muc... read more

(and still insists he sees a ghost.)

We are connected in this moment:
Right now, you are picking weeds out of tomatoes
as I re-arrange my alter space
figuring the balance between ritual and flight.
In our attempts to lose beloved
success racks up with failure
till we see the other standing there.
Movement startles the doors.
I dust off my bedside table.
He thrusts his hands into the earth.

I perceive most things on a different (not deeper!) level than most other people.

Those learned in astrology upon looking at my chart would point at the Mercury/Pluto conjunction.

You can think we are talking about baskets and eggs, but I am probably talking about the entire manner in which something is done based on pattern established by my observation.

So please, *please* just hear me out and try to see where I am coming from. Just because it is different does not mean it is ri... read more

Testimonials! They really LIKE me!

November 3, 2006

I'm going to splice a few consonants and vowels together in an attempt to express the uniqueness that is Bro. Quentin.

Creative, Articulate, Fierce, Sensitive, and Controversial are some of the adjectives that come to mind when trying to describe, Q. He keeps it real; often saying the things I'm too diplomatic to say. It's all love though.

I respect Quentin's integrity and willingness to shoot from the hip. If I ever need honest advice, I know who to turn to. All in all bro is multifaceted and never ceases to amaze with random, albeit timely, observations!

cheers!

Quentin is the cool breeze that comes gently, for a moment, on a muggy, hot day, surrounds you and lingers just long enough to remind you of human ideals, classical arts, philanthropy, when you were sweaty and exhausted and just struggling to get to the damn subway. I wish I lived in Seattle where Quentin and I would start TeapotCon 2007. And everyone would have to dress up for High Tea. And the food would be all different colors. Quentin makes tribe a better place, because Quentin is a rockstar. And I should know, because I'm a girlie badass.

some people speak truth like songs that sing me through dark nights and i am thankful for them even when i have never laid my eyes upon them.

Quentin Ergane is one of those gifts to my consciousness. thanks for that.

My Recent Activity

Re: The Call to the Winter 2010 Gathering of Radical Faeries at Breitenbush (in Wolf Creek Faeries) You know... I have been twice. Once, I think someone who was more rolling in dough than myself paid for me and the second year I went on scholarship.

If you want to be there, be there. There's nothing stopping you from being there but yourself... read more
