It's all about me...

about me
My favorite day of the week is Sunday. Weird, I know, but I just love the relaxed attitude and the adventures that evolve from there.

I love when my kitty snuggles next to me and looks backward up at me and purrs and just evokes contentedness.

I'm married to an amazing man who challenges me to be a better person each day. I like surprising him. I like surprising myself. I love watching other people surprise themselves.

I hate narrow-minded people and people who insist in making you feel bad about yourself so that they can feel better about themselves... especially when they're so closed minded that they can't even recognize that they're doing it. Along those lines, I truly admire people with the courage to be their true selves in a world which makes it nearly impossible to do just that.

You are not broken just because you don't choose the mom-path.

I hate when I slip into old habits I've worked past. I love watching my close friends when the allow themselves to overcome their own negative behavior. It's so beautiful to watch them accept a part of themselves they've denied or kept hidden.

I love when people are truly happy in the path they've chosen, whether that's being a parent or working as a barista. I hate that so many people are so miserable in their lives, that they can't fathom anyone being happy with anything different. After all, they chose the "American dream", and if they're not happy, no one should be. Right?

Fun is something this world needs more of. I love dancing with my friends. I love to dance to the breakz. I love being able to have fun with my husband.

I've never been surrounded by better friends and it makes me sad that our paths together are coming to an end.

What I think

Hi everyone,

I recently made the long-awaited move to the city, and I'm in the market for things like a good hairstylist, a good vet somewhere in the SOMISPO general area, and a general doctor anywheres in the city. If any of you have suggestions for any of these (or other stuff along those lines) lemme know. I appreciate any tips. :)

See you all at the Sea of Dreams. :D

Now, as a marine biologist, I've personally witnessed the nasty (and I do mean NASTY) acts perpetrated by some young males of this species (interspecies same-gender rape, murder, and necrophelia, to name a few). But the girl in me can't help but look at these rediculously fuzzy and adorable animals and get all googly eyed. If you don't at least let out an "awww" while watching this, you're made of stone.

or my brain, really, because that's about how I feel right now. Have you ever been involved in something so mentally rigorous that you actually become exhausted by it? I'm not now, nor have I ever been, particularly above average at math. Never took calculus and never took physics. And here I am, being completely inundated by both. 40 solid hours of it this week, delivered by one of the most brilliant minds in the business. Problem with that is the more brilliant they are, generally the... read more

I spotted this article yesterday and thought the idea was a great one. It’s a wonderful opportunity to both spread the word about a critically endangered species and raise funds at the same time.

Then, last night on Comedy Central's Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert led the show with a hilarious, if not entirely factually correct, monologue about The Great Turtle Race and the leatherback that has been sponsored in his honor by student researchers D... read more

T is a huge bag of awesome, attractively packaged.

She understands and accepts that her sister in law is somewhat deranged and silly and accepts me the way I am. Her sense of humor is offbeat and wonderful. Anyone that can turn me on to something as strange as Eddie Izzard is aces high in my book.

She is funny and original and kind and merry and smart, and I love her to pieces!

tanya is an amazingly awesome friend. she's always there with a hug if you're feeling down. she's one of the main reasons why i haven't gone completely postal at work. i love that i can quote random movie lines (especially monty python) to her and she can fire one right back at me and not just look at me like i suddenly sprouted a second head. she appreciates silliness (have a banana! at the copacabana!). she is an expert on looking playalicious. i will be forever grateful to her for opening up a whole new world to me by dragging me up to san francisco to go dancing one saturday night in march last year. i couldn't imagine my life without that now.
