Bristol Renaissance Faire

i am sooo excited! july 5 is opening day for bristol faire! yay! i love just about everything at faire. the smell, the food, the drink, the people, the music, etc etc. if you've never been to faire i highly recommend it. however, i do think the best way to enjoy faire is with a hopeless rennie!!! i have a friend who brings friends and neighbors to faire. she dresses them up and feeds them delicious food and drink. it is a really fun day! anyway, hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

here i am, peeking into my tribe account. i've been excessively busy i guess since there hasn't been hardly any activity on my site here. i will remedy that. :) i have some other sites - myspace and renspace and enchantedfolk.com lots of fun! i appreciate the atmosphere here though and would like to spend more time. i just finished readying A New Earth=awakening to your lifes purpose. it was really good. i am thankful for the understanding i've been given and seek to practice just being. being still has been elusive to my life and now that i am learning how i spend much of my time practicing stillness. i wish for you all peace and love in excess. love to you from lori ribbon

hi everyone, bad news, my sweet darling guinea pig Einstein (a girl piggie) passed away last night. we stood under the beautiful full moon and said our goodbyes. her little body lie under the lilac bush. i will remember with great joy her little ways, her squeaks and turtle games. anyway, it's sad but i know i'll have more critter friends in the future. the good news, i've listed lots of treasures on my webpage www.ladyribbon.com get the goods while you can! it's gift giving season soon and i've collected lots of treasures for you to share. thanks for visiting. i greatly appreciate it. blessings to you, lori ribbon

gosh it's been a while!

hi everyone! i know it's been a while. that's how it is during Renaissance Faire season. summertime is always a quick season for me but always full of fun and friends. this will be my last year being responsible. :) yay! my daughter will graduate high school in the spring and i will officially go missing for trips to friends and family. :) my darling daughter turned 18 last saturday, what a milestone! i'm so proud of her. she's an awesome human being. anyway, just wanted to say i'm still alive and continuing to pursue my dreams. i started working on a storyboard for my books i want to put out into the world. i may begin with handmade one-of-a-kind books. sounds fun! anyway, first i have to get the story down. so look for that in the future. blessings to you all, lori ribbon

Treasure

Greetings fellow travelers. Today I bring my heart to you, to share my thoughts with you. Traveling through this world is difficult at times and I am suprised at how many joys seem to be hidden along the way. Becoming intentional at seeking out treasure has been very beneficial to me. I noticed though, as I seek out the good, the bad is present and at times it seems it increases to discourage me from seeking the good. I seek the good all the more! My prayer this day for all of my family, friends and new friends is that your sorrows subside and joy wells up in your life. I pray you will look for the good and turn away from the bad to find it. It would be silly if someone searching for a treasure quit after digging only one hole. I know in the very core of my being that the Creator of the Universe has set many treasures right under our noses. I believe it is the will of God for all of us to discover those treasures and share them with one another. Become open to them now. I believe you will be suprised at what you discover. Won't you share a treasure with someone today? Tell us about a treasure you've found. Encourage those around you by simply sharing what you have. Lighten someone's load. Ease their suffering somehow. Begin with prayer. Simply bless someone's life by praying that they find treasure today. Many are suffering, lonely, hopeless. It hurts to dwell on that reality. Another reality is we can do something about it. It may seem small but together much can be done to bring light to dark places. There is no darkness in perfect love, in light. Let's live in the light today and every day though darkness may be near it will not ever overcome light! Thanks be to God! Blessings to you all. Lori

I am eager to see what tomorrow brings. My journey has brought me to an awareness of my life. I have discovered the primal need to really live on this planet and not just survive it. Gaining understanding of things hidden from me in my past has brought a clearer view of what I want my life to be here. Learning what honor means, in relation to myself and others and the earth and the creatures has given a sense of purpose and responsibility for me. My current need is to press into love. Accepting. Allowing life to be what it is and not being overcome by that reality. I sometimes lose track of the good when my thoughts are on the cruel wickedness present in this world. Being intentional to remember that good will overcome evil has been challenging for me. Seeing or focusing on visual things helps me stay on track. Driving through the countryside and feeling the creativity and joy well up in me inspire me to create. Art, stories, music. To mold my life in the direction I desire. Reaching for what you want has the likelihood that you will obtain it. If you don't reach, it's just not likely that it will come and land on you. I suppose a balance of reaching and allowing things to come to you is evened out with your mind & soul peace level. What you are focusing on. Anyway, those are some thoughts for now. May the reader find a greater realization of their worth.
